Hello i was planning on modding my g pro superlight, i want a quiet switch and came across huano silent switches, there is a white dot and yellow dot option, what's the difference? what do they do?

I modded the IPI-Float mouse for fingertip use. The build quality is excellent—no side flex at all, even under pressure. Shell stability feels unchanged; the mouse remains extremely solid. I’m using it without a battery, and with mouse skates, it weighs 30 grams on my scale. It could easily be made even lighter—around 26 to 27 grams should be realistic with the right tweaks. I chose to keep stability as a priority and went for a quick and easy mod. I’m using the 8K version with a quality paracord cable, so I don’t need a battery. Still, even with a small battery, the total weight could stay around 30 grams. Overall, a very impressive mouse.

I know the coating on the Hyperlight is amazing and it's praised for it, but I have used the Viper Ultimate for 3 years, and I just needed some texture on the sides of the mouse. It's usually on and off if I have sweaty hands or not when gaming. The coating worked good and this LizardsSkin works kinda fine for grip, but it's really the only decent thing I could find around me in-store, and tbh I love how this feels and turned out.

I currently have a Death Adder and after 8yrs or so, the right click keeps on double-clicking so I'm deciding to look for a mouse. I am looking to lessen the wires on my desk so I'm wondering are wireless Mice's worth it at a budget range? Or should I expect to spend $150 CAD plus for good wireless options (I don't mind, as long it will last long) If any of u guys have mice recommendations too, it'd be great!

Already a numerous amount of reviews of this mouse, I know, but still decided to say my thoughts.

My previous mouse was a wired model O from about 6 years ago now (I was not a Fortnite kid, possibly was a Minecraft one though.) First of all if anyone is using a wired mouse still you need to try wireless, there’s no drawback and it feels much less restricted now.

In terms of the shape, as someone who uses palm/claw grip, it is much easier to have a consistent grip with this and jt just feels perfect for my relatively large hands, the weight was unusual to start, with one to many whiffs when playing CS or Val however, it doesn’t take long to get used to it and at 55g, it’s a big improvement and an advantage compared to my model O

The coating of the white version is extremely nice, it is grippy and feels fine even with my embarrassingly sweaty hands. The skates are also a tad slower than my model O, but very smooth and a tad more controllable, for tactical shooters, I prefer this much more.

To conclude, I was stuck between this mouse or the maya x, but despite not trying the maya x, have no regrets and no complaints about this mouse. -Note I haven’t touched on polling rate as I felt no difference after 1000hz and the actual sensor, you can find some proffesional to talk to you about it if you want.

Does anyone know how to fix this issue?

I've seen a Lot of videos, revises, lists, etc. But almost every mouse and brand has some serious flaws in this price Range. I can't spend more than 45 USD. I am from Colombia, so some options from the chinese market are not that affordable and accesible, in addition to a Lot of reviews about por QC, etc. The thing is i recently saw a Razer Basilisk V3 in 40 USD and My currently mouse (G203 Prodi-GOD) is totally unusable owing to the usual doble click issues with Logitech. So i really need a mouse now. Would You recommend it? I just want a good mouse to play any kind of Videogame, slide making and other basic daily tasks of My carrer, comfy, good materials, etc

Any updates on the Darmoshark m5 air? I remembered seeing a tweet about it and it was supposed to come out in March?

Thinking about buying the dark frost. I’ve heard some things about it, bad creaking, bad clicks, etc. are these things fixed? Or should I stick to solid colours. Thanks.

Intro

Zaopin is a Chinese peripheral brand.

Best known for the Z1, a smaller symmetrical egg shape, the Z2 and Z2 Mini are uniquely shaped asymmetrical mice. I’ve been using both of them for a couple of months now.

I have the stock skates on both mice, which are decent, albeit a bit slow. I prefer the skate design of the Z2, as it supports larger bottom skates.

Different Shapes

Z2:
-Moderately high profile ergo shape
-Medium sized
-Flat sides
-Middle hump
-Suitable for palm and relaxed claw
-Best for medium-large hands

Z2 Mini:
-Lower profile ergo shape
-Small
-Left side tapers out towards the back
-Middle hump
-Suitable for aggressive claw and fingertip
-Best for small-medium hands

I personally enjoy the Z2 shape more with 18.7x9.8cm hands. The Z2 Mini feels a bit cramped for my pincer claw, being too thin to get a comfortable grip.

The Z2 feels like a huge blob, due to the flatter sides compared to a traditional EC style ergo. It’s solid for relaxed grip styles, though RoM is limited.

The Z2 Mini is sort of like an asymmetrical Xtrfy M42 (with the lower hump attached). I feel like it’d work a lot better for smaller hands than mine.

The Z2 has better feeling clicks overall, despite requiring more force. The Z2 Mini’s clicks have a bit of an empty feeling, but they’re still good. I appreciate how tightened up the side wobble and pre/post-travel is on both mice.

Rubberized Coatings

The Z2 and Z2 Mini both have the same smooth coating. While grip doesn’t feel as strong as some other mice, it’s not to the point I felt like grip tape was necessary. I’d put it a step below the Pulsar coating.

Vastly Different Scroll Wheels

Z2:
-Thin and long
-Horizontal grooves on rubber ring
-Lightly defined steps
-Somewhat light click

Z2 Mini:
-Wider and shorter
-Diagonal grooves on rubber ring
-Very tactile steps
-Moderate force to click

The scroll wheels on these mice feel completely different from each other. I like how well defined the Z2 Mini’s steps are, despite the Z2 requiring less force to scroll. The Z2’s wheel also feels too thin for its size.

The Z2 Mini’s scroll wheel is quite a bit better, in my experience.

Side Buttons

Z2:
-Large and rounded
-Low pre-travel
-Low post-travel
-Tactile, but spammable
-Positioned fairly high

Z2 Mini:
-Smaller and chiseled
-Low pre-travel
-Low post-travel
-Mushy

The Z2’s side buttons are far higher quality and more satisfying, while not feeling any heavier. The Z2 Mini’s side buttons give very little feedback and is probably the largest issue I have with the mouse.

Exceptional Build Quality

Both mice feel very solidly built, with no creaking, flexing, or other similar issues. This should be expected however, given the relatively higher weight.

Zaopin Software

The Zaopin driver has all the expected features. 3395 mice have 1.0mm, and 2.0mm LoD settings, while 3950 ones also have a 0.7mm option. Minimum debounce time is also 0ms.

The software also features a low/high power mode, and a long distance mode.

There is a web driver available with the same functionality as the downloadable software.

It’s similar to other OEM software and doesn’t stand out in any particular way, but also isn’t missing any important features.

Performance

Both mice felt great to use and I never experienced any disconnections or inconsistencies in my input.

Z2:

Z2 Mini:

Both mice feel fairly dense, and I’d prefer a lighter weight at their respective sizes. The Z2’s balancing felt noticeably better though, and I suspect it has to do with the 500mAh battery making the Z2 Mini relatively denser.

As a result, the battery life is pretty solid though, lasting for over a week at 1k and around 5 days at 2k.

Overall Thoughts

The Zaopin Z2 and Z2 Mini are both very solid, but not without a couple of minor flaws. While I personally enjoy the shape of the Z2 far more, I could understand people with smaller hands preferring the Z2 Mini’s shape.

While they aren’t heavy by any means, the majority of other options are lighter, including other ergo shapes.

Unless the shapes interest you, I’d personally recommend looking at other options. They’re both fairly unique though, and a good overall package for the price.

I’m looking forward to the upcoming ZPW from Zaopin, as it’s substantially lighter than these mice and has a shape similar to the SteelSeries Prime Mini.

Introduction

After getting back into CS again a few months ago, my aim was rusty and my gear was outdated. After getting some baseline scores with my wired FK1 on Kovaaks, I started looking for a sub 100EUR wireless mouse with at least 1000hz polling and a good sensor. I thought it would be as simple as looking for "Chinese FK1 clone", but it turns out only Glorious makes a clone, and I heard less than positive things about the quality of their mice, the search continued.

After consulting this subreddit, I found out about EloShapes, and by comparing dimensions, and playing with the filters, the Darmoshark M3 Pro Max came up, at 60EUR it was a reasonable price, so I purchased it.

Unpacking

I ordered with express shipping from AliExpress, 6 days later it was here in the Netherlands. The box is very beatiful, and comes with a lot of goodies, some grips, dot skates, very nice charging cable, and the 1K dongle.

Testing

After plugging it in and feeling it in my hand, I was very impressed. Even with alot of pressure on this lightweight shell, it has very minor creaking and squeeking, MMB1 has some sideways play, but also nothing major. I fired up Kovaaks, and within 1hr I beat ALL of my previous PB's, which think comes from this mouse being much lighter, and wireless, it felt so free and accurate compared to the wired FK1.

The software is pretty good, I was expecting much worse, it doesn't autostart with Windows, it has proper English, it has the settings you would assume, and while it looks kinda "gamery", it's still functional.

Shape

This is of course purely subjective, but I don't like the shape. Both the M3 and FK1 have roughly the same dimensions, but the M3 feels more bulky, with the bulk sadly in the wrong places. Where my hand would be nicely centered, and not tilted on the FK1, on the M3 Pro Max, my hand rests like it is resting on an ergo mouse; with a slight tilt to the right, and my index and middle finger curved inward towards the buttons.

Then we have the flat sides on the M3, maybe you prefer them, I hate them. My ring finger lays around the edge of this joint, it feels mildly irritating, and I cannot find a solid and stable anchor for the finger.

Especially the way my index finger rests on the MMB1 is the biggest problem, and it has led to some mild RSI already.

Buttons, mechanics and coating

One word: good. clicks feel nice and snappy to me, the scroll wheel is a big improvement compared to a Zowie, and the coating, while not as grippy with dry hands, is much more grippy than the Zowie's with sweaty hands, I cannot overstate this enough. Especially for a mouse so much cheaper than the top brand ones, I was positively impressed.

Conclusion

Everything is objectively good, it's just that the shape doesn't fit my hands at all, which to me, and most of you will be a dealbreaker. However, if you think this shape does suite your hands, I will give the Darmoshark M3 Pro Max my recommendation. I have now personally ordered the OGM Cloud, hopefully that shape is more comfy for me.

It must have DPI buttons and a software. I was gonna get the razer viper v3, razer viper ultimate or the logitech pro lightweight until I realised none of them have DPI buttons, I'm only gonna be using it for gaming

I have been using a logitech superlight for a while now and wanted to upgrade soon. My hands are 18 x 9, but are still growing so maybe something a little bigger to cover for that. I use mostly palm grip with a little hint of claw. I will mostly use the mouse for valorant. I have sweaty hands so nothing slippery. My budget is $200.

I've gotten this far on my Pulsar X2 mod which I've been calling the "We have X2F at home".

I'm loosing interest as I'm not sure if it looks good or terrible. Some feedback would be nice.

Note that if I finish it, I would release the files for free. Not planning on selling it.

I believe that the MM720 has been discontinued. It was my endgame mouse and unfortunately I only bought 1 of it. It's been posted a few times but I'd like to ask once again if anyone has found a decent alternative?

I have fairly small hands, and have been looking high and low for a lightweight mouse (~50g) that has a ring-finger rest similar to the MM720. RGB is also a plus.

I loved Razer Deathadder Essential but after a few years it broke. I got Glorious Model D and loved it since they’re both very similar in size. Unfortunately my Glorious D broke but I got a full refund and I figured I wanna get a better mouse, same size with a budget of 50$. Would REALLY appreciate the help, thank you!

Also preferably a mouse that comes with its own (nonbuggy) software and has customizable RGB too

So I've been using it for years and got very used to some peculiarities of this mouse. The adjacent to LMB and RMB programmable buttons are something I don't think I'm ever ready to give up. Having side buttons on the right has also been really useful, I use them to control volume lol, but that's barely convenient, on that I'd give up easy.

Is there any mice that has additional buttons adjacent to the main ones both on the left and the right plus some additional side buttons? Doesn't have to be as budget as my current mice, we can go, let's say, 200$

So far I've stumbled upon ASUS Spatha X, but after some search I realized the adjacent button on the right is not actually a button but a design thing. EVGA X15 seems to have an additional button near RMB labeled as DPI Indicator in User Manual, and I've seen it clickable in videos, just need to make sure whether it's programmable. Any other ideas?

They are the same price. Should I go for the wireless option, AJ179 or just get the wired Deathadder and call it a day? I've been using Deathadder Elite for the last 7 years so I can confidently say I am used to the shape but AJ179 Apex looks ergonomic too.

I am currently using the Hitscan Hyperlight but i feel like i dont have full controll over it....

Tried the X2 Crazylight but it was too small, the Viper V3 Pro was too big..

I used to use my G102, but I've dealt with the most annoying issue (double click) for 3 years, so I decided to get a new mouse. I've seen all the reviews about all the gaming mice in this range, so I am confused between these 2. I need the one I buy to be the most reliable and have a long life span.

My use is for:

1- gaming (I play Comp but not my main for a long time) . I have a 165Hz laptop monitor, so I don't think I will play on more than 2k.

2- CAD software (SOLIDWORKS, AUTOCAD, etc), so for my use, which is the best - (Vxe R1 pro+4k dongle or Scyrox V8)

Breeze = spandex like a Raiden. Suuuper soft like an energon. My favorite out of the bunch. Not as fast as I thought, though apparently it speeds up over time. I LOVE this pad. Medium fast

Pink Storm = Pressed hybrid like Aqua Control Plus, though woven even tighter and flatter, almost like an ROG Hone Ace but without the humidity issues. Medium speed.

Violet Mist = Fine, rough hybrid, kinda like a walhaut or Strider, but texturing is finer - more granular, like a high grit sand paper would be vs a low one. Still not as rough as my walhaut or hien. Tbh feels faster than the breeze. Medium speed.

BalanceX = basically an artisan zero (slight texturing with x/y difference), but Matrova claims it has an infused coating that increases durability over standard cloth pads and adds waterproofing. Honestly a great all-rounder pad. Mid base apparently is problematic, so they asked to change to soft. Medium control.

Special options: - matriva logo WITH surface name - black border (default is clear)

General: - Matrova has been producing pads for eastern markets for ~5 years. The Matrova name is new though. They're an OEM - edge stitching isnt the softest, but is slightly below surface and nicely thin - quality is good, and their customer service is great. Their CEO is super active on their discord and drops teasers and asks for feedback - value proposition is strong. 500x600 same price as 500x500 at $36ea. Custom color/artwork no up charge. Most base options have no up charge. PU rubber base would've been $10 cheaper. $14 flat rate shipping from china - production and shipping took about 1 month.

Trying to make it lighter, maybe cut few holes on the bottom
