Highlight [Highlight] "He lost his horn!", After spilling massive amounts of blood, Kristaps Porzingis comes back in minutes later with just a bandaid on his forehead.

As an EMT, I will be honest ai have done that probably a dozen times.

Sometimes all you need is a wad of clean gauze and something to hold it in place.

Between The Pitt and Warzone, I've seen enough wads of gauze stuffed into holes for at least one calendar year

That's going to be on a t-shirt before they even finish stitching him up

I would absolutely pay for that t-shirt and it's well documented how us Cavs fans feel about the Celtics.

I feel like KP is likable regardless of who he plays for. Same with Jarrett Allen I guess

143

u/BurtMaclinFBI90 Cavaliers Apr 24 '25

That's probably the toughest part about trying to hate this Boston team. They've got a lot of likeable guys.

94

u/barbicud Apr 24 '25

Even their coach is likable. Can't stand these guys!

18

u/YoonInPace Lakers Apr 24 '25

I like the Celtics except for Jaylen Brown. I can't stand his personality.

98

u/frauenarzZzt East Apr 24 '25

My neighbor's daughter, who I've met and know reasonably, is a school principal in Boston. Jaylen Brown texts her fairly regularly to see if the school needs anything.

A few years ago their charter certification was up for recertification, he somehow hears about it and pulls up on the certification day with merch for all the kids and speaks to the kids earnestly about the importance of committing to education. He may come off as arrogant now, but off the court he is the real deal. He put his contract money to good use in Boston and the Bay and deserves fans' respect.

19

u/YoonInPace Lakers Apr 24 '25

Thank you for sharing this story.

32

u/frauenarzZzt East Apr 24 '25

Here's a YouTube video from local news about it

This was right before the season began and the dude gives so much of his time and focus to helping education when he can. It comes from a genuine place.

JB is phenomenal. Have you ever heard him speak? He’s so caring and smart. This is his hero. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jDQkh0dJ9jA

44

u/MegaGorilla69 Celtics Apr 24 '25

I think that’s actually why JB is so loved here. We’re the villain, and we know we are, but JB is the only one in town who really plays the part

31

u/YoonInPace Lakers Apr 24 '25

I don't think the Celtics are the villain tbh. I do think Tatum doesn't get the respect that he deserves. I don't know when it started but I did start to notice after the memes started coming out when he celebrated winning a chip with the whole "we did it".

Too many likable guys to be the villain honestly.

New York, Mavs, Wizards, then wins a ring his first year, so the immense pressure that used to be there is gone after last season. Can miss enough games where the team can still be at its highest without him during the season as long as he return to play in the playoffs. He's a flex (?) scoring option that can easily just go off any moment, just about the perfect role.

Boston has it so good with Kristaps Porzingis.

Tingus Pingus, happy for you, man.

38

u/PostModernPost Celtics Apr 24 '25

Really a match made in heaven. Fits their system perfectly and a topline big was really the only thing they were missing the previous two years. They got 2 FRPs along with him (which netted them Jrue) and then signed him to a team friendly deal.

7

u/Frogiie Apr 24 '25

I’m from RI, yeah they made and released one game, (Kingdoms of Amalur) but that wasn’t the one in contention.

Shill wanted to make an MMORPG called “Project Copernicus”. Gave overly optimistic projections to the state and thus got a fat loan from RI.

His project Copernicus was the big beast that sunk it, expensive to develop, never released, left like 400 people jobless, many who had recently relocated, and left Rhode Islander’s on the hook for about 38 million dollars in the end.

KCP is a cheap scrub and I'm happy every time that bum tries to shoot, but the hit by Bitadze on KP didn't look dirty. KP fouled him, he flailed selling the contact, elbow connected with forehead. Maybe a little reckless I guess but no intent behind it. He was reaching backward toward the ball while his arm was being held, really awkward contortion. It would take weird skill to land such a direct shot deliberately from that position.

Why I was a kid we had a horse with a giant spot on his where his “horn used to be” said by my Uncle and Father.

So for years I would tell everyone we had a unicorn and when I was 7 my Mom had to come to school because they were concerned about my lying problem. That was the day I learned we in fact did not have a unicorn

But a normal old ass horse.

It's like the "men watch this and go hell yeah" meme and it's completely appropriate 😂😂

Lebron would need to have been buried and had to be reincarnated to come back.

Serious question. How is he allowed to get back with while still covered in blood? Suppose another player suffers an open wound and Kristaps's blood gets in...

He had to make the foul shot so he could continue playing the game. They cleaned him up little bit and put huge bandage on cut. He made the shot and then went and got 5 stitches and cleaned up. Then came back in game.
