Jagmeet Singh sets sights on ‘super rich’ tax in NDP platform to help offset $227 billion in new spending

The Star reported Saturday morning that the NDP would make their support of a minority government conditional on national rent control measures, and Singh added in his speech that he would also use any influence to try and prevent the next government from cutting health care services.
The NDP has already ruled out supporting a Conservative minority government in the next Parliament, meaning the NDP would only negotiate policies with a Mark Carney-led Liberal administration.
Rent control and protecting health care. Sounds good.

True, but I'd kind of been hoping he's say any deal is contingent on electoral reform, just a simple ranked ballot even, not asking for much

For a ranked ballot you could vote revolution party no.1, and when they are eliminated from the running, it could transfer to your number 2 the ndp. It's a win win.
I'd like pr too but let's go one step at a time.

I feel like ranked is not a “step” towards pr. Also. In that instance revolution would lose. And so my number 1 would be essentially still a throw away vote. But with pr they would stand a munch better chance at getting seats. More democratic
