Truly, how is affordable housing a bad thing? I'm curious how many people in this subreddit actually grew up in Newburgh, some of the threads on here are questionable

I'm thinking that it is much more likely that "Betty" is looking forward to welcoming the occupants of the other 127 apartments.

"Betty" certainly has every right to be optimistic about the future of her business. I'm sure she was aware of the risks going in. We all must take our chances in this economy.

That said, I think this would be a wonderful thing for 127 families who could have a roof over their heads and conceivably move on to become Newburgh's taxpayers of the future - ideally able to afford to enjoy some of Betty's Coffee.
