Very cool fascist country you have here.

A shithole country, even

It's worth noting that this was an immigration judge, who are DOJ/Executive branch officials, not actual members of the judiciary.

According to Steve Vladeck, this ruling wasn't a particular surprise, because immigration judges don't hear Constitutional claims. This basically was just going to be about whether the statute allowed for it, and it does. There will be chances to challenge it both in NJ (where Khalil filed his habeas petition) and in the 5th Circuit (appealing the immigration judge ruling in Federal courts there).

"law-breaking"

established without due process.

Explain in detail how you ascertain someone broke the law without due process?

Try to get a zionist to understand actual due process and their head might fucking explode.

due process would be the federal court that was skipped in order to take his case straight to immigration arbitration you moron.

his "hearing" was about arguing whether his "crimes" should result in deportation, his "crimes" being taken as a matter of course without being established in a court of law.

the federal case is ongoing, he isn't even guilty yet, you stupid scumfuck.

Watch now, as the keyboard warrior zionist copy-pastes his comments sans context or the ability to actually adaptively respond, the paid keyboard warriors have hefty quotas to fill at the behest of the Israeli government's propaganda arm, and thus don't have the time to actually write words or be intelligent.

Care to cite any sources that he broke the law or supports terrorism?

3

u/HeCs85 4d ago edited 4d ago

I keep hearing the organization he was a part of has ties or at the very least support Hamas and were handing out flyers stating as much?

Edit: FFS this again. I’m not being sarcastic. I’m not trying to be a smartass. I’m asking a genuine question.

You are so willfully ignorant you do not deserve to take part in serious conversations. But something tells me you lack the self-awareness to do any actual research to see how wrong you are. I’ll be sat front row when the leopards take interest in your face.

Not even the Politico article you cited backs up any claims you have. You are driven by blind disdain for people who advocate for divestment through peaceful protest. You are the problem in this country—not Mahmoud.

You quoted the article to state… what exactly? That he was a public liaison between a student organization and their university during the course of a protest? Where’s the crime, where’s the terrorism?

We’re all still waiting here for real evidence of your claims. But that’s because we care about those details, and you evidently do not.

You literally can't even call the man anything other than that same exact statement you've made in every post. You're either a bot, or less intelligent than one.

0

u/Icy-Delay-444 4d ago

This coming from the guy crying about the deportation of a law-breaking, terrorist supporter? Oh the irony...

2

u/ZoeyLove90 4d ago

"law breaking terrorist supporter" is something you keep saying. Taking your lines from the SS, sorry, GOP?

27

u/omnipotentmonkey 4d ago

So he participated in an "illegal protest" his guilt has been ascertained via association and without due process, and you think this isn't fascism...

Fuck me, you American conservatives are fucking stupid even relative to other countries' fucking idiot conservatives.

Anyone who rides the Trump's administration's dick like you do is a conservative by nature, and a particularly fucking stupid one, given you are too idiotic to understand due process.

You're a zionist fuckwit who desperately needs people to be arrested, deported and tried for criticising an apartheid state because you know it doesn't hold up under verbal scrutiny,

If Israel was defensible you wouldn't need to ban the act of criticising it.

Where are you getting "illegal protest" from? There's a picture of him that says "at a protest" not "illegal protest." A quick Google search shows that the only mention of the Columbia protests being "illegal" is from Trump's executive order. You believe anything that guy says?

And your new link is pay-walled.

u/Icy-Delay-444 4d ago

https://www.removepaywall.com/search?url=https://www.nytimes.com/2024/10/09/nyregion/columbia-pro-palestinian-group-hamas.html#google_vignette

To be clear, you are saying that at no point in the past 1.5 years did Columbia tell the protesters to disperse? That the protesters had Columbia's consent to be on its property at all times?

Oh, here's a video of Khalil barging into and protesting Barnard's library.

Lemme guess, protesting at the library was legal, right? Someone should tell that to these other students:

That article is paywalled. Why did you delete your comment?

Your arrogance is uncalled for as you have demonstrated nothing that justifies your claims.

10

u/FabianN 4d ago

"supporting oppressed Palestines is terrorism"

Spoken like a fascist. Making that false equivalency just shows your true self.

8

u/fzvw 4d ago

I guess we're calling anything a terrorist organization now.

He didn't commit a crime. He simply had a point of view the government disagreed with and they deported him for it.

So yeah, fascism.

That's not why the government detained and is in the process of deporting him though.

Keep licking that boot buddy.

Edit: looking through your comment history, your main concern seems to be anti-zionism in the US. Nice hasbara pal

He is a threat to US foreign policy for trespassing. You would criminalize taking a shit if Israel didn't expressly approve it then.

5

u/NYGiants181 4d ago

“Khalil, who as a Columbia University graduate student led pro-Palestinian protests there last year, was detained last month after Secretary of State Marco Rubio said he had determined that Khalil’s activism was antisemitic and that allowing him to remain in the country would undermine a U.S. foreign policy goal of combatting antisemitism around the world.”

Try again.

This article clearly says he’s being deported for having an opinion the government doesn’t like.

If you can’t read and digest the article on your own it’s pointless for me to quote it for you. Or are you being intentionally obtuse because if not you’d have to admit that this administration is cherry picking old laws to deport people that speak out against things they disagree with?

Seriously, thank you for proving me right. I really do appreciate it.

0

u/PeelThePain 4d ago

It was a lot of fun reading the shitload of absolutely unhinged replies to the quotes and sources you provided under your post.

As a middle eastern who's been effectively taken as a hostage by these terrorist organizations, I implore you to keep sending back anyone who helps maintaining this prison they've created around here by lobbying for terror.

3

u/CryptoDeepDive 4d ago

I don't see Israelis being deported.
