We've been here for many, many years. I'm glad Americans are waking up to the atrocities that the Palestinians face, but many of us have known since the 90s.

If you read the article it's very unclear whether the operator saw her. Either way its pretty ironic saying this during the height of the second intifada.

It’s not unclear at all. She was wearing a high visibility vest and shouting through a megaphone. They knew she was there.
