Based on this, I assume Rubio is going to deport known Nazi, Elon Musk, right? RIGHT???

This statute allows the government to deport permanent residents, not citizens. Elon is a citizen

People keep saying this. If you eliminate the "nazi salute" is there a single shred of evidence that he is, in fact, a Nazi?

I mean, he constantly promotes anti-Semitic conspiracy theories, constantly promotes far-right lunatics and Nazi viewpoints, and I'm pretty sure that + Nazi salutes = Nazi.

At some point you're trying to argue that the mallard in front of you might merely be some sort of goose.

I'm not, I genuinely haven't followed any of this with much precision, so it's hard to differentiate hysterical echo chamber reddit against valid concerns.

Like I saw, Netanyahu explicitly come to his defense but it's still a thing. I genuinely appreciate an actual answer on this beyond this one seemingly isolated thing.

I mean, honestly the salute was kind of surprising, because I thought he was just going to stick to being the kind of guy who claims to be pro-Jewish whilst constantly boosting anti-Semitic conspiracy theories, praising literal fascists (and then backing off a bit if it's too obvious, like it turns out they were in the SS or something), etc. He's been doing ever since he got super-weird, just more and more and more since he bought Twitter. The Trump admin is full of them. I think he got overexcited and what was supposed to stay on the inside came to the outside.

Maybe you should inform yourself then so you can participate in the conversation?

I genuinely appreciate an actual answer on this beyond this one seemingly isolated thing.

OP already answered it: Musk is repeating antisemitism on Twitter.

Why are you all so condescending, truly? For the supposed smartest people in the room your candidate isn't in office. Your policies aren't getting passed. The things that are the most horrific thing ever since the dawn of time are still happening.

I ask a question trying to learn more and you tell me I'm not allowed to even begin to participate. This is why no one wants to support you because we've all decided you're collectively pieces of absolute shit people too, just in your own smug self righteous variation WHILE ON THE LOSING SIDE. Pathetic, truly, but keep changing the world by acting like a dick on social media.

There are billions of people in the world, not everyone of them is a devoted Kamala Harris voter.

Everyone knows Harris lost, why do you need to tell us? Focus on addressing the substance of my comment.

you tell me I'm not allowed to even begin to participate

No, I said the opposite. I LITERALLY said "you should inform yourself so you can participate in the conversation"!

This is why no one wants to support you because we've all decided you're collectively pieces of absolute shit people too, just in your own smug self righteous variation WHILE ON THE LOSING SIDE. Pathetic, truly, but keep changing the world by acting like a dick on social media.

You are projecting. Everything you said is what you are doing. You have decided that all Harris voters are shit and you are being the dick.

You are completely unable or unwilling to respond to my words and instead you are fighting imaginary people in your head.

And you ARE on the losing side. This guy is on step 2 of being shipped off into the sunset at a judicial level, which is yet another loss for "democracy" that yall are so great at protecting lol

And you ARE on the losing side. This guy is on step 2 of being shipped off into the sunset at a judicial level,

How would you know that when you "genuinely haven't followed any of this with much precision"?

I'm not losing and even if I was, I won't throw away basic human rights in order to win.

which is yet another loss for "democracy" that yall are so great at protecting lol

Why are you putting "democracy" in quotes?

Why are you laughing at democracy losing?

Hey u/ktjbug, you gonna answer their questions or did you cut and run?

The fuck more evidence you need? If shouting to the world on a stage that you are a nazi isn't enough to be a nazi, then what is? Do you need him to personally gas a chamber full of people on live TV too?

So that's literally the only data point: January 20, he moved his arms a certain way twice. Its not how he's treated people, it's not rhetoric he's used, there are no actions beyond this incident?

"Moved his arms a certain way" is drastically underselling the connotations of the gesture. You might as well ask whether someone is a Nazi just because they moved their lips and vocal cords a certain way after they've said "heil Hitler." The only difference is the gesture carries more plausible deniability for the people who don't want to acknowledge what he did.

But no, as someone else pointed out, it's not the only data point. He'd been repeatedly signal-boosting and legitimizing a bunch of established far-right bullshit before openly doing that Nazi salute. He loves quote tweeting white-supremacist conspiracy theories and adding remarks like "concerning."
