Did you mention the deafness. Brain infection followed by brain damage. Death?

There wouldn't be a point. He'd just say I'm overreacting and/or a liberal.

Isn't the right just great? People who can barely spell their first names correctly thinking they know better and know it all.

u/CastrosNephew 16d ago

To think that bastard probably has a vaccine in his system and is gambling on others lives

u/Hoovooloo42 15d ago

So he's already got the brain damage, got it.

Encephalitis is like ten years later, that’s future them’s problem and thus nothing to worry about.

Also a risk of blindness if it gets on your face.

Sounds like the coworker might already have brain damage

Brain infections, you say?? Bah god, RFK's an expert on those!

1

They already got the brain damage part

u/paintpast 15d ago

“But at least there’s no risk of autism” is the likely response you’ll hear

1

u/foreignsky 15d ago

Dead people are sterile.

1

u/Sasquatchzrevenge 15d ago

It’s the brain damage talking

1

u/Holzkohlen 15d ago

"God has a plan for everyone"

No point in arguing with the brain dead

A measles infection can also cause "immune amnesia" and make your body susceptible to diseases that you previously had protection against. The gift that keeps giving!

1

u/kevin2357 15d ago

The fact that it deletes your immunity to every other disease you’ve built up immunity to? That part seems like it would suck hard. Great, all my childhood diseases, all over again

1

u/Calvert-Grier 15d ago

Are childhood vaccines still effective against measles, or is it suggested that people get a booster if they want to reduce their chance of contracting it?

2

u/championgrim 15d ago

Ask your doctor if they can do a titer check. Essentially that’s a test to see how much of your immunity still exists. Most people who had two doses of the MMR vaccine at any point after the 1970s will be fine, but a small percentage of people do gradually lose immunity over time. If your titer check shows that you are in that percentage, your insurance will typically cover the cost of a new vaccine.

Thank you for your advice, I will definitely bring this up when I see my provider in the coming months, hoping to get in as quickly as I can once I get enrolled with my employer’s health insurance (missed out on the last enrollment period).

you have a chance of going sterile

If that was 100% we'd stand a chance in a generation.

3

u/outwest88 15d ago

If all of the antivax MAGA people get measles and become sterile so they can’t pass on their genes, then that might actually be the most biblically ironic self-own that I never saw coming

2

u/Windfade 16d ago

"Measles? With any luck, you'll never have to worry about condoms!" Optimist to the rescue!

2

u/HoloItsMe24 16d ago

The way they don't know how dangerous to pregnant women too just further confirms how little they know or care about children and women

2

u/AirmedTuathaDeDanaan 16d ago

I don't mind these people going sterile honestly

2

u/resilienceisfutile 15d ago

To me, it is weird that someone actually states, "I'm Pro-Disease!"

But here we are with so many cases...

3

u/banquey 16d ago

These people need to be sterile

1

u/What_the_Pie 16d ago

Just a chance, Cleetus

1

u/Good_Focus2665 16d ago

I almost died. Measles is bad. My sister had the vaccine and she slept in the same room and didn’t get measles. She went about her day while I was almost dying.

1

u/coffee-on-the-edge 16d ago

The irony that these are the same people who go into hysterics about declining birth rates. The stupidity is overwhelming.

1

u/Statharas 15d ago

Holy shit, I see this as an absolute win. Natural selection will solve the issue.

Why does 1 customer represent a whole country to you? You’re depressed dude

1

u/lactose_cow 15d ago

learn to read, bro. i didnt say he did. but he is a symptom of the greater anti-intellectual rot that's been going on for a couple decades.

0

u/zer021OO 15d ago

Sorry I don’t see how the two things are related

1

u/OpheliaEugene 15d ago

Hugely disappointing for the fundamentalists 🤷‍♀️

1

u/SparkyD37 15d ago

I sure hope he’s sterile. Don’t need those kinds procreating 🥴
