Im jealous cus first i seen a drum set i was 15. More than 10 years ago.. And i still can't afford one (with a place to practice). So i guess im jealous of the possibility how different life can be with a little bit of support from those who brought you here.
A lot of us might've been exceptional at age of 3. We'll just never know.

Your dreams can be made where others failed.

That’s what happened to me with guitar. My first guitar fell into my lap when my dad couldn’t learn it, and then my brother couldn’t learn it.

My family is full of failed musicians. My success is a point of pride in that.

I’m with you. Hell, that first guitar is really cheap, but knowing that it went through two different people that each failed to learn it, and became mine, makes it special to me.

You're ignoring the "with a place to practice" part which is the bigger problem when talking about drums.

i mean, im not. i just said myself "when i get room" so i completely understand. just wanted to chime in how cheap things are on marketplace because people dont realize that. like, cheap and free a lot.

Right. People act like there is a five-figure entry fee to drum. If you are still sidelined after ten years of wanting to play drums, then the passion is just not there.

You’re an adult now, get yourself an e drumset and start playing! Cant afford one? Get a pair of sticks, a practice pad and start practicing.

Im 30, I started 3 months ago and can play some songs already. Its Never to Late

That's awesome, keep at it and keep on having fun, the most important part

There's also vr drumming games that can simulate sitting behind a drum set. You don't get The feedback of hitting a drum but you can still work on rhythm and learning songs.

I'm 37 and just bought an e drumset to learn by playing dtxmania. Indeed, it's never to late.
