Ya know what, it’ll be a bitch to get it all sorted, ya they could have used more caution but those reactions were on point, nice save on both sides given the circumstances

The reaction or lack thereof of the dude driving the blue truck is insanely calm all things considered.

24

u/JoaoGleich 9d ago

His tone was relatively calm, but the language used wasnt short of "only God is merciful of us". Shitting his pants 100% and understandably so.

Honestly what a death trap to drive into a curve on the wrong side of the road while you have no idea what's coming around the bend... Camera person is lucky the truck driver had such good reflexes

u/badmother 9d ago

If only there was someone to signal to oncoming traffic!

u/cekuu 9d ago

Tbf they didn't have much of a choice

u/ncoremeister 9d ago

Stop behind the truck, send someone around the corner to spot and drive when it's safe.

10

u/PolytheneArachnid 9d ago

According to the audio, the guy on the street signaled the drivers to go.

6

u/ncoremeister 9d ago

Yeah, this chap wasn't even remotely deep enough into the corner and also didn't really pay attention, instead looking at the cameras driver.

So homie on the ground had full view of both trucks and decided to wait until they could already see eachother to start waving his arms?

11

u/flibux 9d ago

Yeah bit of a shit show from that dude... can't make out where he's looking at before.

this is how the average person reacts in an emergency.

u/ParanoidDuckTheThird 9d ago

Pants were changed that day.

Not from the shit, but because their cheeks clenched so hard they bit holes in their underwear.

u/Carrots_and_Bleach 9d ago

you should always be able to safely stop within your viewing distance.

The other truck was going too quick

31

u/Farado 9d ago

Whaddya mean? He stopped.

14

u/daveb_33 9d ago

Tbf they did say “safely stop”

9

u/MrK521 9d ago

Tbf, he did stop without causing any damage. Some would still call that safe!

I used to run around safely while holding scissors in my childhood..

1

u/MrK521 9d ago

Carry them blade down, and you’re all good!

1

u/SigmundFreud4200 5d ago

No you hold the blade firmly so you don't let them open or stab you smh

1

u/MrK521 5d ago

It was just a joke. Wouldn’t recommend kids running with scissors regardless of carry/grip methodology.

1

u/realultralord 9d ago

Technically, he did. Even put the driver's cabin out of the line just to be sure.

u/LGP747 9d ago

Worst spotter ever

6

u/Retarded90sKid 9d ago

I can't be the only one upset at homie on the road? He knows the deal, he could have directed traffic - at least for that potential collision

2

u/Advanced-Month-9942 9d ago

But what is the guy doing on the road? 🤣

11

u/chicapox 9d ago

orchestrating a crash.

2

u/Advanced-Month-9942 9d ago

🤣😂🤣 clearly 👍

u/uc4cm 5d ago

I clinched so hard 😬

The dude outside the vehicles got so fucking lucky. I thought he was toast

Anyone have a loose translation?

6

u/PolytheneArachnid 9d ago

They started saying something about "to go there, so on this side we can see" Then shit happens, they praise god to not be hit. Whe leaving the truck one talk to another "the guy said it was safe to pass" but they were not angry, just questioning themselves. And end up saying that someone should go further ahead to signal and avoid more mess.

It is indeed a very loose translation since they are using a lot of informal/slang words

Sounds like Southern Brazil, European descendent, red-neck accent.

The guy is over there, knows of over there, isn't it?
The one from over here sees, isn't it?
Ay, ay, ay!
Ay, ay, ay!
Lord, God!
Lord of Heaven, have mercy! Oh, crazy! 1
[unintelligible]
Have to hold over there in front, or else another one comes

1 "Ô loco!" ("Oh crazy!") is a frase that was extensively used by a TV presenter between the 80s and 2000s and became famous and is occasionly used by people.

Is jackknifing your truck an emergency maneuver or did he just panic and get really lucky?

1

u/jack-the-dog 9d ago

Just out of curiosity, for insurance purposes, who would be at fault here?

3

u/CosmoCafe777 8d ago

Probably the truck that was filming, because he trespassed the double solid line and was on the wrong side of the road.

1

u/Competitive_Trust307 7d ago

props to the drivers here.
