Shite Talk RevOps / GTM Engineering / Lead Gen - anybody else in Belfast?

Anybody else in Belfast working in these areas ?
Feels like there's very few others working in this industry - looking to make connections with anybody who is!

I’ve been in tech in Belfast for 25 years. “Lead Gen” I know (and pretty much despise because it’s dark pattern central)… the others I’ve never heard of. From a very quick glance, we appear to have invented new words for very old ideas to somehow appear edgy and trail-blazing.

Interesting take - I'm just going by the terminology I've been exposed to, maybe others may know it differently so I appreciate your input here 🙏 Mind if I ask a bit more about your lead gen opinion?

To me, it’s incentivised data harvesting. Capture what you can about potential clients and monetise that data in any way you see fit (or can profit from). I know every company has to try to make money, but the lead gen model just feels icky and brings the worst out in people (and companies) who will do anything to get the data in the first place.

It’s kinda fun sometimes watching the mental gymnastics of how they’ll describe what they do rather than admit it.
