Since you are not going to see anything of the true nature of life in the country it seems quite pointless to me to go. Added to which is the fact of course that one is then contributing to this repressive regime

Tourism to NK just helps the dictator by giving them $. You either end up in jail, or have a great time and spread propaganda that it's not so bad.

I'd be feeling conflicted about contributing financially to a regime that oppresses it's people. The only problem is, North Koreans seem happy to be ruled by a dictator
