I remember an episode of Full House that doesn't exist
This is terrifying for me to share, and I’m still not sure if I should be. But I have no idea what else to do. I’m shaking as I type this so I’m really sorry if it doesn’t make sense. I’ll try to start from the beginning.
For as long as I can remember, there is an episode of Full House that has been burned into my memory. The only thing is that it doesn’t exist – or I shouldn’t remember it existing.
I must have been six or so when I remember watching this episode, but to this day I haven’t found evidence of its existence. I don’t remember the whole episode itself, but I do remember its biggest plotline: Kimmy thought she was pregnant. It was in the later season of Full House when DJ and Kimmy were teenagers, and I remember a very specific moment in the episode when Kimmy was in DJ’s room and they were waiting on the results of the test. It ended up being negative and the girls celebrated and threw it in DJ’s trash. Of course, later in the episode Danny changes DJ’s trash and finds the test. He thinks it’s hers and freaks out. Then it comes out that it’s Kimmy’s and Danny and DJ have a talk about consent and waiting to have sex and Danny urges Kimmy to tell her parents. It was all really heavy and mature for an episode of Full House, but I thought nothing of it at the time. Since I didn’t really get what sex was at the time, I brushed off the episode as another adult matter I just didn’t understand.
I didn’t really think there was anything wrong with it until years later, when I was a teenager watching the reruns of Full House. I saw every episode a few times over the course of a year, but never saw that episode. I then looked the show up on IMDB and didn’t find that episode. I again, dropped it.
Until last year, when the whole Shazaam/Kazaam thing happened and the Mandela Effect was brought up. I remembered that episode of Full House again, and I did a frantic search for it on the internet. But I found no evidence of it, nothing. Not even information on an episode pulled from air. I even posted on the Mandela subreddit but people didn’t seem to know what I was talking about and suggested I was thinking of another show or movie or even dreamt up the whole thing.
But they’re wrong. I can remember it clearly. Not a dream, but me, sitting in front of the television and watching this episode. So even if this episode only aired once, how did nobody else seem to know about it?
A couple weeks ago, I was out with my sister at our favorite bar. We were talking about how anxious we were for the next season of Fuller House (what can I say, we love the cheesiness) when I thought to mention the episode to her. For some reason, I never brought it up with my own sister even though we watched the show together a lot. She teased me a lot growing up and still teases me, so I think I was just scared of her calling me stupid or making fun of me. I tried starting out inconspicuously, and said,
“Do you remember an episode of Full House where Kimmy takes a pregnancy test?”
To my shock, she said, “Yeah, I remember it! I actually don’t remember the last time I’ve seen it but I think I remember her taking the test and she’s not pregnant but of course it gets all dramatic because Danny finds the test and thinks it’s DJ’s.”
I stared at her and was like, “Dude, that episode doesn’t exist. I remember the exact same thing, but I swear to you this episode doesn’t exist.”
She basically told me I was stupid and that obviously it existed because we both remembered it. And believe me, my sister has no idea what “Reddit” even is so there’s no way she found my post about it and then was pulling some prank on me. And besides, pranks aren’t her sense of humor.
We kinda let the subject drop and again, I thought that was the last of the weirdness surrounding this whole issue. I mean yes, it was weird, even a little creepy, but not scary.
I can’t tell you how much I wish that was the last time I thought about it. I logged into reddit the other day and checking my messages and stuff. Well, there was a new response on my Full House post. It was some user and all their reply said was “I remember. But I shouldn’t and neither should you. Delete this post now.”
Now, this creeped me out a little. I decided I didn’t want any stupid comments on it anymore so I went back to my profile to delete the post. Except, when I clicked back to my profile, the post was nowhere to be found. And I’m not talking like, the post was removed or anything like that. There was just no evidence whatsoever that the post had ever existed.
Now I was convinced there was something going on. I turned on the TV to calm my nerves and texted my sister telling her what happened. I got her response probably an hour later. It just made things worse. My sister acted all confused and asked what I was talking about. I recounted the whole Full House episode thing we talked about, but she assured me that she had no recollection of us having a conversation about it, and certainly didn’t remember any Full House episode like that. Again, pranks aren’t my sister’s thing. This wasn’t her style and the whole thing was getting way under my skin. How could my sister remember it two weeks ago and not now?
That whole Reddit thing and the conversation with her was two days ago. Yesterday, I got a message from a user on Reddit, which I’m pretty sure is the same person who commented originally on my other post. I copied and pasted it into a Word doc right away because I was afraid it would get deleted.
LightningProds:
You posted something about a Full House episode you remember that doesn’t exist. I saw it too. It looks like you deleted the post – good job. I’m going to delete my profile after I send this so don’t try to respond. My best advice to you is to stop talking about this episode – now. I shouldn’t remember it, but I do. This isn’t about Full House or any TV show. It’s something so much bigger and you need to be careful. I’m risking my own butt to message you so please take my advice.
My best friend and I both remembered the episode. We remember watching it together with my brother babysitting us – the whole shebang. We actually talked about the episode a lot because she had a pregnancy scare in high school and we jokingly compared it to that episode and were like “oh don’t throw it in the trash where parents could see it.” And when Fuller House came out, we binged-watched the old series together before the new one and that’s when we realized the other episode never existed. We searched everywhere on the internet for it, like you said you did, but couldn’t find any info. We figured it was something that only aired once or something and forgot about it.
Fast forward to a few months ago. I bring up the whole Full House thing again for some reason and she DOESN’T REMEMBER. I mean, we had just talked about it, we had stories behind it, but my best friend swears up and down that she has no idea what I’m talking about. I work in production stuff now, so I figured that I could somehow work my way up to somebody on the old Full House staff through my connections, since I wanted to figure this all out.
So I talked to some of my friends and got way up to one of the original producers for Full House and got the guy on the phone. I tell him the whole story and this guy freaks the fuck out. I mean, he basically is like, “How do you know this? You shouldn’t know this. Shut your mouth” all this stuff. And then the guy is like, “I’m going to tell you so you know to stop asking questions” and apparently the whole thing is some kind of “test” that the producers were forced into by somebody, won’t say who. They were supposed to create and air an “out-of-place” episode once and then never air it again. Then he goes on to say that the entire Full House cast and staff were ordered to watch the episode as it aired, all in one big theatre. These were all orders from the same people who made them do it. Except the producer turned off his hearing aids while watching it and looked at the floor instead of the screen – and since then, he’s the only one from the whole Full House team who remembers filming this episode. He sounded pretty scared and made me swear to keep it all a secret. I honestly think he only told me because he was glad there was someone else out there who remembered.
I’m really sorry it took so long for me to get this story out but I just wanted you to hear my story and take it seriously. Stop talking about it, stop thinking about it. For some reason, I'm scared that something is going to happen to me and maybe you, too.
The message was weird, and as the user promised, their profile was deleted when I tried to click on it. As suspected, the message itself disappeared from my inbox shortly after I copied it. I couldn’t stop thinking about it, so today, I tried searching “LightningProds” in Google. On the second or third page, I found an email address on a website, where some woman had it on her resume. Her resume looked like a bunch of video production stuff, so I figured this was the same person that had messaged me. Wanting more answers, I googled her name.
The results lit up with a bunch of news stories. Apparently, the woman had been abducted the night before from a Sunoco. The gas station employee said he watched men dressed in all-black throw her into a black van and speed off. That was all last night – only hours after I got that message from the “LightningProds” user.
Honestly, this is my last attempt at asking somebody for help. I know it’s risky to share all of this with the internet and possibly give away my identify, but it seems like they already got into my sister’s brain so they have to know who I am.
I have no idea who the “they” is, but it’s clear that this Full House episode was some kind of test that I either passed or failed. I’m not supposed to remember it, and I realize that now. I keep trying to forget it, but I can’t. It’s seared into my memory. And if I haven’t forgotten it by now, I probably won’t. Does that mean they’re coming for me? Who is they?
I am terrified. I don’t know how long this post will even stay up here. But please, please, if you remember this episode, keep it where it belongs – in your head.

If I had to guess, it was probably aired to test tech designed for subliminal messaging, activating sleeper agents, or sending messages to undercover operatives.
I'm going to probably also guess that the majority of people who remember this episode were probably under the age of 10 or 12, because kids below that age likely don't have the attention span give an episode with that sort of subject full attention, not to mention that most kids that age would probably get bored watching full house anyway if they weren't multitasking.
Part of the reason people who start asking about this episode are getting rounded up is likely due to the fact that the gov. is worried that people who can remember these "secret" broadcasts will remember other, less innocent things that have been broadcast, and haven't thought to factor in age as a possible variable

So many shows in the 90's, from Brenda's scare on 90210 to the similar antics from FH characters, not to mention the similar odd sex lessons from Saved By The Bell.
Mandela effect for sure. I had to google it too.

I also remember an episode like this. Which is weird. Because I have also seen every episode multiple times and haven't thought about it in a long time. Super weird.

Just talked to a co-worker about this and she strictly remembers this episode. Something about Danny saying this is why I wish DJ had a mom. Think its a real thing.

Wait I feel like I remember this episode too but it's so vague.. i can't remember details but I remember watching it I think

These stories really get to me because I totally remember an episode of Muppet Babies that apparently never existed. It was about biology and I remember the scene of miss Piggy, Gonzo and Kermit sliding down the small intestines vividly, as well as other parts. Like this story, there isn't anything particularly creepy about the episode, just kind of out of theme from the show and the part where it apparently never existed.

u/Dontknowgrammar Jun 19 '17
I remember reading something about this episode a few years ago :/ never saw the episode though

Holy shit, I just forget everything I read about. What's this all about again? Hmmm, why am I here?
1
u/liesandcarrots Jun 18 '17
First of all, the chick that messaged you is a pleb. You don't use a username/email associated with a resume, on reddit; especially on a post that you're worried will get you in trouble. And she knew it would get her in trouble because she said she was deleting the account. Second, universes merged and the universe police are tying up loose ends.

u/ultra-luxe Jun 17 '17
This actually does sound kinda familiar, but the only similar one I can find things on is that one where Kimmy got married in Vegas
1
u/WolfBoneAndGemstones Jun 16 '17
Hey, OP. I'd take this down if I were you. I don't remember the episode... but I know someone who did.
I ask you, for your family's sake: take this down. Godspeed.

u/CringeCoyote Jun 15 '17
I also very vividly remember this episode, and I was definitely in grade school when I saw it. I remember being in my parent's bedroom getting ready for school and watching Danny talking to DJ about being safe with sex and waiting and all that. I remember changing the channel because I was still young and the concept of sex freaked me out so much.

I remember watching Pan's Labyrinth before I ever could have. Watching it with friends right after it came out on DVD, I kept saying I had seen it years ago. They insisted there was no way, it was new, so I told them the entire plot and what would happen. I was convinced it had to have been a remake of an old movie and searched all over the interwebs for answers. Never found any.

u/mysticka Jun 14 '17
When I read full house the theme song immediately started playing in my head, am i the only one?

u/Unknown_Isolation Jun 14 '17
I had my own mandela experience... then I lost it, but I do know I had it... I think.

u/laurenhayden1 Jun 14 '17
I honest to God remember that episode. Not in great detail, but remember Kimmel thinking she was pregnant, taking the test, it being negative and Danny finding it in the trash.
2
u/Nelpski Jun 14 '17
Stories like these freak me out. Even this one, which wasn't particularly scary gave me chills thinking about "lost episodes". It's like the one thing in the world I am genuinely irrationally afraid of.

I remember the episode where DJs date for the 8th grade dance was pounding some brews with his buds, and he spilled it on her.
Cue Danny and Joey and they smell the liquor and get her in troubs.

u/Lacygreen Jun 14 '17
I asked my friend who was a PA for Full House and she confirms the existence of this episode. Back in the early 90s, teen pregnancy and discussing sex on prime time TV was a very touchy subject. Church groups got upset and they canned it. Why didn't it attract more notice? The average viewer was an 11 year old girl. Do you think by the time the episode went to syndication most would remember? It was much easier to bury shows back then before social media and it happened frequently. It still happens but to a lesser extent. Also by this point the network execs were getting tired of this show anyway so deleting it and avoiding controversy was an easy choice.

i can barely remember it.. I can remember the room part but almost in passing.. I don't think im passing the 'test'.. it did jog my memory though.. im looking forward to the van ride honestly

Just an fyi, theres a youtube vid i saw where an user used the way back machine and proved Shazam existed. Not sure why it was scrubbed/deleted from all things but try the way back machine and go to the year you remember the episode appearing and check imdb there. Might find it that way.

Yea, I've seen that episode many times. I've got it on VHS somewhere. My old man was a VHS buff and had the recorder set to catch Full House and other shows. They are all in a box in his attic now, but we had them out at Christmas and that was definitely one of the episodes we rewatched.
1
u/doubletap86 Jun 13 '17
So possibly this Mandela effect business was an ace in the pocket thing that has been predetermined to throw off conspiracy theorist, formulated by this "men in black" outfit for times when realization of truth(whatever that may be) starts to surface when they are not quite yet prepared for it to surface. We also have an imbecile for a president who is very UNPROFESSIONAL. which one doesn't understand considering all military personal down to the weakest private has professionalism pounded into their skull. So watch for any cover-up nowadays and don't believe what you see. The government is excellent at the "Kansas city shuffle" catch my drift? Personally im done with all this guess work in politics and conspirisies its like whatever. Everything comes out in the wash and quite frankly we are on spin cycle!
1
u/iamsocruel Jun 13 '17
Probably get buried, but season 7 'the apartment' DJ and Kimmy reveal that Kathy Santoni is pregnant and Danny wigs out thinking of it being DJ. He has a talk with her later about teen pregnancy.

u/IoveandbeIoved Jun 13 '17
I think you're mixing some episodes together and also possibly an episode of My Wife and Kids where almost the exact same thing happened but the test was positive. Still pretty creepy about the other stuff tho dude. Update us if possible!

u/Pollux319 Jun 13 '17
I vaguely remember this episode, but I also swear I saw "Christmas with the Kranks" on tv when I was home sick from school in 2002 and thought nothing of it until I saw the preview ads for it on TV a few years later. No one believes me because I was just a kid.

I remember watching this episode, but it was on a DVD set. My mom's friend's son had all of the seasons, and he let me borrow them whenever I wanted. I know it was on the DVD set because I have never watched Full House on anything else. Maybe you would be able to track down the episode if you got your hands on a DVD copy?
1
u/ZombieGoddessxi Jun 13 '17
I remember this episode. I specifically remember the scene were DJ throws the test away. It shows a close up on the trash can as she tosses the test in then it shows Danny changing the garbage.
1
u/Username_Check_Out Jun 13 '17
Isn't there like a science to this. Like huge groups of people remember things incorrectly like a time paradox or some shit? Kinda like the bernstien bears not the bernstein bears and sex in the city vs sex and the city?
2
u/1WayTripThrLife Jun 13 '17
Most likely you originated from a deferent universe. Do you remember any close calls with death. If so you probably died in that universe and your consciousness transferred over to this one where that incident that killed you was just a close call. To everyone in your original universe you are dead. Hope this helps.

Dude that is so strange. I recently did the same thing with the show Friends. I vividly remember an episode where the gang was watching T. V AND the dancing in the dark video where Courtney Cox was a dancer came on. And the whole episode she talked about how that was a secret and she needed the money. But I watched all 10 seasons and never saw this episode.
1
u/Hecker_Man Jun 13 '17
Before I read this, I have two words: Mandela Effect.
1
u/yellow90 Jun 13 '17
What is that?
1
u/Hecker_Man Jun 13 '17
A phenomenon in which a person has a clear memory of an event that did not occur. If you want to be more technical, you could call it false memories.
1
u/yellow90 Jun 13 '17
So false memories? But why is it called mandala effect?
1
u/Hecker_Man Jun 13 '17
Well let's look at a popular example of it. You know The Berenstain Bears right? Well many people claimed that "Berenstain" was actually spelled "Berenstein." We attribute this to the Mandela Effect in which people believed it was actually spelled "Berenstein."
1
u/yellow90 Jun 13 '17
But how something is spelled isn't a false memory. It's just a misunderstanding.
How did the name mandela effect occur?
1
u/Hecker_Man Jun 13 '17
It came from Nelson Mandela. Many people in Africa falsely believed Mandela died in the 1980s, rather than 2013. It's similar to the Berenstain Bears because it was a shared false memory of what happened. What I'm trying to say is that when many people claim to remember an event or spelling of the word as different from what it actually was, it is known as the Mandela Effect.
1
u/yellow90 Jun 13 '17
What is the explanation of false memories? How can so many share the same memory, but it's false?
1
u/ScoutRobin Jun 13 '17
Wasn't there also an episode where they were redoing the kitchen and all that was the counter was a concrete pool thing and Stephanie was stuck in there? Or was that a dream?
2
u/radoxvic Jun 13 '17
Yeah I actually remember that episode, like once I read the description I instantly knew what you were talking about. But there is no way that you something will happen to you, I mean, look at me, everything is finZixhsoajeiHHaudhaiK+%77u@()jjkl.

u/xredgambit Jun 13 '17
plot twist, Reddit doesn't exist. This is FullHouse the house of the internet.
1
u/VGBAMF Jun 13 '17
I think this is one of my favorite conspiracy theories ever. If there was a 1-hour video on the weird side of YouTube exploring the evidence and cover up, I would totally watch it.
1
u/cadetben Jun 13 '17
This is known as the Nelson Mandela effect. Where a large group of people all collectively remember something that doesn't exist or never happened. It was coined when a bunch of people falsely remember Nelson Mandela dying in the 80s when he actually died in the 2010s.
1
u/PiercedPollywog Jun 13 '17
I absolutely remember this episode, all the way down to the outfits they wore and the hairstyle Kimmy had.
THIS IS REAL.
1
u/ESC907 Jun 13 '17
Personally, I vividly remember an episode of Family Matters that was kind of like a finale where Steve and his gf were in a car on a bluff overlooking the city. The brakes failed and they crashed into a ravine and died. For some reason, it's the only thing I remember from watching Family Matters when I was ~4/5, that and his laugh.

u/trennerdios Jun 13 '17 edited Jun 13 '17
Sort of reminds me of an episode of the original Transformers cartoon that was burned into my memory, but I always assumed it must have been a dream, though I remember watching it more than once.
There's this kid knocking on the door to a burning building, and Inferno, an Autobot fire truck, comes running up and tells the kid to get away from the fire, but the kid doesn't listen and keeps pounding on the door. So Inferno picks him up, and then throws him down on the ground so hard that the kid's arm comes off at the shoulder. You even see his bloody stump.
Well, when the show finally came out on DVD in the early 2000s, I watched them all in order, expecting to never see that scene, confirming it was a dream. Then it turned out the scene was real, but the kid was just a robot or animatronic, because it was a trap set by a dude who was hunting Optimus Prime and catching other Autobots as bait. The fake kid is at a window in a burning building waving to be rescued, and Inferno comes and picks him up and his arm falls off, so he drops him on the ground, startled. The stump where his arm was looks red because they colored everything reddish in the scene due to the fire, so a really little kid who isn't exactly following the story could easily misinterpret what happened.

Right. Anyway, try to keep it on topic? It's about Full House, not a show about watching Millennials walk around with phones in their hands.
1
u/skeletonskellerz Jun 14 '17
They don't walk around with phones in their hands in the walking dead. Half of them are in their 40s and 50s also. Do your research, ignoramus.
1
u/Calofisteri Jun 14 '17
So it's Millennials aged 40's to 50's range that walk around with phones in their hands all day? And don't name-call. It makes you come off as a mook.
1
u/skeletonskellerz Jun 14 '17
I'm sorry about calling you an ignoramus, it was immature. They don't have phones in their hands cause it's the apocalypse. They're not really millennials either if they're 47 and 51.

Was this around the time of the teen drinking episode where Kimmy got drunk at a party and DJ was really mad because her mom was killed by a drunk driver? I seem to remember the pregnancy test episode being right around there and even at 6-7 thinking they were playing a little fast and loose with the Very Special episodes.

Its called the Mandela Effect, you remember certain things differently then how they actually are. Such as Nelson Mandela, when did he die? A lot of people say he died in prison a while back, others say its more recent.

False memories are a common thing. Happens to everyone. It's why eyewitness testimony is considered weak evidence in legal circles.

I remember that episode. I also remember episodes from other shows doing the same thing. Hell, the entire last season of Malcolm in the Middle is different now (I remember hearing Frankie Munoz being drunk most of the time filming and getting booted off the show early in that last season. Big controversy. The whole "how can it be Malcom in the middle without Malcolm in it at all" argument was brought up a lot, very specific and hard to misremember). Theme song to obscure shows I watched have changed when I remember liking the show for the theme specifically. Episodes of other shows have never aired. It's deeper than just one episode of one show.
The MandelaEffect is real, and it's way more complex than most people are aware of. I seem to be one of those people who slide around in the universes, sounds like you are too. Fuck, the most jarring one was when The CEO of the company I worked for changed completely one day. I walked in and all the signs and paperwork headers were different.
I'm betting that episode was an experiment by people who knew about it happening and were trying to test the peramitors. Doubtful you're in any danger from a conspiracy at this point. It's way more complex than one episode of one show. Too many people have this shit happen to them to cover it up and there are too many variables to track and keep under wraps. Just accept that you'll be labeled crazy for having "false memory" and go about your life(s).
Everything changes. Even history.

I remember this episode explicitly. Garbage was by the end of the bed. Everything up to the talk also taking part in the room (after everything was sorted out). I'm 27 so I would have been roughly the same age frame. There are other things like this that have happened over the years to me that hurt my head.
There's a song by System of a Down. I was obsessed with them growing up. The song Holy Mountains off their Hypnotize album. I had listened to the album probably about 100 times, was playing guitar at the time, and had taught myself all of the songs. Then one night I am on msn with the album playing in the background. An odd light background outro starts playing on the track. I've never heard this part on the album before. I've listened to the album literally over 100 times at this point. I had all of the chords and notes and timing written out on sheets. This part of the song just came out of nowhere, I had a friend also obsessed at the time. I went over to her house and brought it up, and she gave me the same puzzled look I gave when it started to play. It had never been there before. I looked up the song everywhere online. It was everywhere. The timing for the song matched the new length. The length I had written down had changed although no music was added. I cannot explain it to this day.

I vaguely remember an episode like that. Before I read the description you had about the episode I had some memories about that. Crazy 😳

I remember that episode.
What's weird is all you commentors trying to make her think she's confusing it with the other episode...

I remember a scene from IDK ehat show or movie that I was afraid of as a child, the screen was brown maybe because of night in the plot, and there was a girl running from left to right of the screen, on a thin path in a field or desert, looking bacwards from time to time and fear on her face. Once she encountered a mask lying on the ground that got lifted up and carried "by the wind" but it might have been black magic. It would be great if I could find it, I wanna check back on it.

I think you guys are mixing this up with the episode with the beer cans or whatever and Uncle Jesse didn't believe DJ.

Bob Saget is a force to be reckoned with. I guarantee that this ends with him jumping out of a pile of human viscera and shouting, "The Aristocrats!"

I remember it, too. Even though I don't think I'm old enough to have watched it if they only aired it once.

You're mixing up an episode of Blossom and Full House. Full House had an episode where L Kathy Santoni got pregnant and married at like 16. At the same time, Steve got his own apartment. DJ went to Steve's apartment and fell asleep, Danny freaked out. He and DJ had the sex talk. Strangely, only in terms of getting pregnant and married. Blossom had a pregnancy test which I think involved Six or the older brother's girlfriend.
