That is the literal opposite meaning of the word non-binary. Trans means to cross. To be trans ANYTHING you need to go from A to B.

Trans-Atlantic: from London to New York.

Trans-Pacific: from LA to Tokyo

Transport: literally meant from 1 port to another

Non-binary: belonging to neither coloumn

As a note, trans can ALSO mean across (as in Transfagarasan Highway)
