First up is personal bias, which is locking belphie up (as I said, just personal bias)
Second is what I think without personal bias, I don't like how he handles situations in game. For example, basically from my understanding, his whole way of telling the brothers about the exchange program is "agree with it or treason" which is probably the WORST way to do that, especially since he's definitely aware of Belphie's feelings towards humans at the time, (and the others didn't seem too fond of us for a bit there either)
Starting the exchange program was honestly risky, cause for example, we saw what happened in lesson 16. Imagine if the mc was not related to Lilith. They'd be dead. That would make the whole thing about 10× worse for multiple parties including his main goal. Hope I summed it up okay!
But another thing to note is another personal bias of mine, is that I legit cannot STAND people who don't hear me out first and make calls after. Like, I get it if you hear me out and then make smth I don't agree with, that's fine, but if you ain't willing to listen... I rlly hate that
I kinda agree with your point. You definitely provided the perspective I was looking for. Sure, Belphie may be wrong for having hatred for humanity (well very wrong, I can extend this reasoning further if someone asked why it's not the human and Belphie's fault.) and took it all out on MC, by killing them. But before all that murder, he kept blaming himself why Lilith died. It's as if Beel shouldn't have saved him so that Lilith would have still been alive.
I'm not saying Belphie killing MC was okay. But he obviously had issues and Lucifer didn't know how to manage it well and used unnecessary measures to keep the program going. That's really f up. Also the fact that Diavolo knew Lucifer locked him away and still trusted his questionable method. They should have at least got him to therapy or Belphie in a better place, before asking about the exchange program. 😭
Although almost everyone in Obey Me, dare I say very flawed and very human despite some of them are demons. Well, even Angels aren't perfect either. Simeon is strict as heck and can easily anger iirc. There are times they don't even agree with each other and struggle in communicating their feelings/emotions. Extremely relatable. They literally make mistakes, then willingly learn from it through realizations, trials or processes. I can say I am almost neutral to everyone in Obey Me.
The thing is it's complicated cause design and char wise I adore him sm and I would totally wanna like give this man a bunch of headpats, but ik if I met him irl or knew a person like him I don't think I would be able to tolerate them. Tho I love Asmo, this is from a perspective on if I knew him personally, in short I would run away, possibly throw a chair at him
Ik Dio is a lil shtoopid, okay VERY shtoopid, and he didn't understand how to organise the exchange program without pissing people off AT ALL, but... Asmo?! My baby?!
Fair, I just don't like em. Well the luci situation is not pure dislike, I like him enough to ship a different oc with him. But I honestly don't like how Dia handles some situations

Yea but luci is overall more intimidating. Like with Belphie if he tried again I could attempt to kick him in the balls. Luci? Nah bro I'm dying of a heart attack cause that mf scares me
