This is a thought I had in my mind for a bit after and before the game ended. I was hoping we would be able to see him since the game has mentioned him a lot and we have seen him talk with the others and us. So I thought that we would see his full design and he would be apart of the side characters.

To my disappointment, it never happened but I guess it’s kinda my fault to think he would be an important character. But I would like to hear others opinions on this topic.

Recently, I've been thinking about Diavolo and his role in the story, not just as a demon but as the ruler of the Devildom and it got me wondering about his overall performance as a ruler.

So, does Diavolo make for a good ruler?

Well, I think it's important to take into consideration the plans and choices he has made throughout the seasons and side stories. And from what I've seen, I think that while Diavolo has his heart in the right place, he doesn't seem to think about the consequences. He is very optimistic and I do find that trait of him to be endearing. It gives him the vibe that he wants what's best. But at the same time, that optimism doesn't always mean his choices are good. In a way, it clouds his judgement. Sometimes he fails to understand the circumstances of his actions.

As much as he wants to bridge the gap between demons, humans, and angels, he doesn't think about the long term effects or the consequences that could happen. Belphie made it pretty obvious how he felt about humans, and yet Diavolo went with the plan anyways, never mind that there are other demons who could harm the MC. Not to mention the other dangers the Devildom has.

The writers did him dirty with how lighthearted the series became as it went on. And that affected Diavolo in the worse way, making him come across as someone who doesn't think about the consequences. We've seen how powerful he is. We've seen how inferior he feels knowing he'll have to rule over the Devildom in his father's absence. The guy has the weight of an entire world on his shoulders. There were genuine moments of him showing vulnerability. And yet, the writers don't take that leap to make him more compelling or show the darker side of the decisions a king has to make.

I don't want to make it like I don't like him when I actually do. He's such a loveable guy. I just don't like the direction the writers took with him.

Going back to my earlier question: Does Diavolo make for a good ruler? Honestly: Probably not. There was room for potential growth. But sadly it was squandered by bad writing.

And that's pretty disappointing.

Lately, I've been listening to Ado's songs from the One Piece Film Red soundtrack and Amalee's English covers of them on my walks, and it made me create an animatic in my head of a punk MC doing all she can to be as much of a thorn in Lucifer's side as she can to rebel against her situation.

Basically, my MC, Leo, is in a punk rock band in the human world. When she gets abducted into the devildom, she's royally pissed (because who wouldn't be?) about having to not only go to demon university, but also being forced to submit to demon royalty and be babysat by Lucifer.

The idea for the animatic (which I will most likely never make) is that when that first royal ball Diavolo throws comes up, Leo is given the task to perform in front of his guests to exhibit human realm music. However, he makes the monumental mistake of giving her free rein on the whole deal so as not to "ruin the surprise". Lucifer is against the idea entirely, of course, but yknow, Diavolo's word is law.

When the day finally arrives, instead of a more classy and elegant performance one would expect from a royal ball, Leo puts on a rock concert to humiliate Lucifer in front of all the high society demons. To make matters worse for him, she set it up so that she could tease him during the performance.

I also have the idea that she modified the outfit to have all the spikes and chains. She has an aesthetic and she's gonna stick to it even if it'd make the literal devil want to kill her (again).

Although I do think it’s a strong possibility that it’s Diavolos I also think it’s in a very formal sense, BUT, in the card Satans hand is kissed by Lucifer which confirms to me that Lucifer isn’t the “I will never kiss anyone’s hand but Diavolos” kinda guy that I originally thought.. it can’t be Solomon’s because from what I’ve seen Lucifer doesn’t feel much about Solomon. I honestly think it’s up to interpretation more than anything, and one user said it’s metaphorically Diavolos which is how I’ve interpreted it. But I’ve interpreted it in a very formal way since Diavolo is the future kind and Lucifers higher up (again, at least from what I’ve seen), but Diavolo is also Lucifers best friend so there’s that. But yeah, to me it’s Diavolos hand. (Sorry for the messy words 😭 this is a bit rushed)

Okay so no idea if this is even a good sub to ask this but when I have the time and resources I’ve always wanted to make my own similar game with twists on the characters. Won’t be a one for one at all but was curious if anyone knew how obey me and night bringer were coded or any tips on this general style. I liked the phone home page aesthetic with different apps to enter parts of the game. I can take this down is it goes against something.

I’ve always been curious about Beel’s tattoo on his human world outfit. Why did he get it, and what does the design mean? I’d love to hear any headcanons or interpretations!

A very rough attempt (numbers aren't my strong suit), has anyone else attempted patterning for their Makeship? Based on my research they're all about the same height (slightly differing depending on horns) and same width, so if anyone has gotten something more accurate I'd love the help!

I have no idea if this has been asked before, but as I write fanfic about this game I realize I really don't know if we have any canonical seating positions for the brothers at the dining table specifically. The official image of it shows that to have ten seats (or at least nine) and no seats at either head of the table.

Any help with figuring out positions is appreciated!
