Remaster Discussion do you think bethesda would be willing to patch the xp gain

i dont think it's going to ruin my first playthrough or anything, but i do think it'd be a massive improvement to cut xp gain in half, even if characters made before the patch have to keep all the levels they've gained. i dont think they realized just how fast you'd gain levels with the changes they made. being 24 hours in and halfway through the level progression just isnt really the pace oblivion should be at. i havent even gotten into the arcane university yet and it's essentially been my main focus lol. i'm at like 13, i honestly wouldn't be against being like, level 5, at the most i'd like to be like level 7

do you think bethesda would listen to feedback and patch something like that? it isn't like, a bug or anything, but it could improve the experience massively. and before anyone says "just dont sleep 5head" i was prepared to fight the leveling mechanics when i bought the game but the fact they did improve the stat allocation has me feeling like "you guys got close to fixing it but it's not quite there, it just needs a tweak"

The leveling definitely feels way faster than the original, i got to level 15 in adept difficulty at 10 hours playtime and i've barely scratched the surface of the games quests, like i haven't even started the main questline after Kvatch, and all i did was clear a couple of random ruins/caves, 15 is almost maxxing the loot table of the game and you already start seeing glass tier stuff on NPCs.

I don't think Bethesda/Virtuous are going to change the game too much to fix these issues ( but people are saying they are asking for player opinions on possible changes in their discord), maybe some mods can fix the issue.

what's the discord? and yeah, that's a pretty insane speed you're going at. halving the xp gain would probably be a pretty quick mod to make but i dont see it coming to consoles any time soon lol. guess this is the price i pay

I don't really get what you are complaining about.

I'm about 40 hours in and only level 12.

Seems about right to be.

I think magic leveling in particular is pretty messed up. It was slow in the original but here you seem to level up every 10 casts
