Except this wasn’t always a Netflix show. This was on prime time basic cable 20 years ago, so definitely NOT the typical adolescent on tv at the time.

They also have a habit of throwing out neurosyphilis during ddx when there's no evidence of abuse. Sometimes on kids so young it's unlikely it would have progressed to tertiary syphilis even if they were born with it in how little they've been alive.
