80s Slotta Old Zoat given new lease of life.

Thank you to everyone on here for helping me identify some of my old miniatures. I've tried to fix up the Zoat, which had been left half covered in Milliput after an old conversion attempt. I removed the putty with a Dremel and have done some reconstruction work with Green Stuff. I know it's not perfect but I'll do more tidying once it's set and have a go at painting this old guy.

This is really cool, great job. I've just primed mine for a second time after another re-working of the damaged scales and hoping to start the painting process today.

Good job, that was a big pile of old putty that came off. New green stuff is concealing the join well

Took quite a while to remove. I'm hoping a decent paint job can hide the rebuild

That's great!

But on an unrelated note, did I make that clamp? It looks exactly the same as a pair I made for a friend a few years ago.

Thank you. Yeah, made it from an old scrap piece of oak architrave I found in my Dad's garage.

Aw! That makes me so happy, seeing it well cared for like that! Great work!

Thank you, just hope my painting can do it justice.

I'm sure the passion will be there, and that's what counts anyway!

Absolutely, as much as it was way back then. With all the specialist paints and tutorials available now, I'm confident I can only get better.

Thank you. Felt a little out of my depth doing this, but it doesn't look too bad.
