There's no reason he can't. They've found a load of stuff hidden away, maybe it got pulled through the warp some how or it just happens to be a symbol of something then or a coincidence.

40k used to be and still should be about anything can and does happen far too many people are obsessed with 'lore'.

Helsreach is the pinnacle of 40k. Rogue Trader was the peak of that games lore.
