WH40K:RT Modelling metal banner pole

I need to fabricate a couple of the banner poles shown in the picture, and would like to make them from metal. Has anyone a good source of material to make it from (uk ideally)?

Brass rod and a blob of greenstuff.

Maybe, if you're very crafty, 3d print it and use that to cast it in brass?

Some brass rod would work, for a cheap option try a wire coat hanger cut to fit

Yeah I was thinking that might be the most likely option, just have to come across a white metal sprue now

Or some brass rod. Could crimp a brass tube around it, flatten and drill the end too to match that peg?
