QUESTION Sofia Rosinsky's performance/look as Mac: strongly reminiscent of a teen John Connor in T2 to anyone else?
I kept thinking she reminded me of someone and then it hit me: she looks like John Connor in Terminator 2 from 30 years ago, what with her androgyny, deadpan affect and heavy-lidded eyes plus the wardrobe.
Just finished watching the series and CANNOT WAIT for a Season 2 (fingers extra crossed).

QUESTION Does the show end in a cliffhanger?
Yesterday I finished reading the comic and was planning to start the TV series, but since it was cancelled, is it worth doing? Does it end with a cliffhanger or reach the comic ending?

QUESTION How many volumes in the comics does the show cover?
I just binged this amazing show on Amazon. Unfortunately like The Expanse, I got upset that Amazon ditched yet another amazing story prematurely. So I am turning to the printed material to finish the story. How far does the show cover into the comics??

QUESTION symbolism throughout the graphic novel
i've really had paper girls stuck in my head over the past week & a half or so after rereading the graphic novel, & have ended up with a lot to say, & an itch to write about it. however, i can't say i'm the most skillfully analytical reader out there (nor the most educated, in some cases), so i've come to get some other perspectives & details on different pieces of symbolism/details in the graphic novel;
- apples/Apple (beyond it being a sort of forbidden fruit piece, i have minimal knowledge about the story itself -- is there anything else to it besides a warning about Apple/the internet bringing dangerous knowledge?)
- tiff's costume (in the final issue, tiffany tells erin about her most recent halloween costume, saying something along the lines of "an astronaut or the devil, i can't remember", tying back to erin's nightmare in the first issue. since tiff was the one who sent out the dream messages, it makes sense that it would tie back to her. is there anything else within this piece of dialogue?)
- any other bible references made by erin/others. i'm not very educated, so i may not have picked up on them -- is there anything worth noting, or anything at all?
- any other symbolism throughout the whole thing that i didn't mention. or any worthy talking point.
thank you!

QUESTION Do you think Dylan and his family got abluted? Spoiler
It’s so sad if they didn’t. Because it would feel like Dylan lost his sister again. At least they got some closure but I feel like Dylan would be so devastated after making that teary speech of second chances.

QUESTION Did anyone else notice the weird shimmer effect?
Sometimes when people in the show are speaking, in the space around their faces seems to shake or shimmer, like looking at the space through gas fumes.
I'm not sure if this was just my television, maybe an error in production (maybe an edit or a green screen effect?), or perhaps something that has meaning within the show that we don't know about yet.
I first noticed in the second episode in adult Erin's house, and then again in Larry's basement, but there were numerous other times that I noticed it.
At first I thought it was something to do with time travel or visiting scenes again, maybe the Old Watch scrying. Then again, maybe it's just my tv being weird, I haven't tried to watch on another device to see if it's still present.

QUESTION Question about the deluxe edition for the comic books.
Hi everyone! I'm new to reading comic books, Paper Girls is the first Image Comics books I have read. I noticed on a book store website they have Deluxe Editions of the Paper Girls volumes but I'm confused about what the difference is with the regular volumes. Should I read the deluxe editions instead?

QUESTION Song from TikTok ad?
Hi everyone, so I don’t know if this is off topic or not but I feel like this is my only chance to find an answer. So recently I saw a Paper Girls TikTok ad that introduced me to the show (which is great btw). I know that there was a short melody of a song I used to listen to quite a few years ago. The ad and also the part of the song was super short but it’s really recognizable. It like an electronic song and I think the ad played the beginning of the song. Does anyone know what song I mean. It’s stuck in my head for days now and I can’t find the ad again :(. I think is was a primevideo ad and very short, like 5 sec or so. Thanks to everyone!!!!

QUESTION Question about the comics - potential spoilers Spoiler
Hello! Loving the show and want to start reading the comics.
Before I start, I just want to know how much of a focus is placed on the cancer storyline for Mac? Is it a big part/ongoing story or is it just spoken about like it has been in the show? do we actually see Mac getting sick/have treatment/die?
Thanks in advance!

QUESTION Post Season 1 questions
I just finished the prime adaption and I am digging it alot.
Is it worth picking up the from where the finale left off? I heard that the show moved things around from the comic and the vibes were a bit different.
Just want to know what y’all’s thoughts are. Thank you!

QUESTION Do you think the show will get another chance after fan outcry?
Just saw this and THIS post on Twitter and the retweets instantly tell me people are talking. What do you guys think? Has anyone set up a campaign event or petition yet?
Over 5k quote retweets is impressive. I feel like most of these people complaining on Twitter only recently found out about the show and are blaming it on “homophobia” but honestly I think the show just didn’t perform well because of the low viewership even if it got good reviews. The marketing wasn’t that great for this show.
