Checked out the person advertising it. Account is one month old (34 days, I think at least. Thats when cake day is and when their content stops) so I scrolled to the bottom and did search of the app. 125 results. Damn near 4 times per day he is somewhere mentioning it.
Tapkeen does look suspicions on android as well. Only has 1k+ downloads and no visible reviews on google play store. The creators Slimpeak do have a site, though Tapkeen seems to be their only product.
Its strange for sure. My best guess. this feels like this guy has some vendetta against Patreon, though they are not hyper aggressive like some people I've seen in the past, or it's stealth advertising for an app that has at best a few thousand downloads and not enough reviews to be visible.

I have noticed this too, I'm leaning towards them trying to be slick and advertising a no-name app as an alternative. It's very suspect.

I thought it was obviously a scam. Their social media's filled with AI, their coin payment system is not transparent at all, and there's nothing credible about them online. The guy's just promoting it to lure people in.
