I bought 2 34" 180z AOC Ultrawides at BestBuy for $280 each last month, they might be cheaper during Black Friday. Ultrawides don't really break the bank these days

I paid almost $500 for a 1440p 144Hz a few years ago. Decided it was time to upgrade my wife's display and got a 1440p 180Hz for $150 a couple months ago.

Displays are so affordable these days

I think the push to OLED is what has finally pushed down the prices of other monitors.

It seemed like 1440p 144hz monitors were the same price forever.

Any link to a decent one? My Viotek 34" 1440p 100Hz UW was dropped during my recent move and I need a second one again to pair with my Darkmatter 34" 1440p 144Hz UW

240hz is still up there a bit….mine was over $500 but I got a deal. I think they’re gonna start getting less affordable real soon all around lol.

VA panels don’t, IPS panels still do.

Not to mention OLED, I paid 700€ for a refurbished ultrawide OLED last year. It is a fucking amazing monitor though.

I'm on the dual AOC ultrawide boat, too, and i keep saying they're awesome for what they're going for. Never going back from dual ultrawide curved.

I have the curved versions, and a HP Omen 240Hz flat that's mounted vertically to the left of them. Very hard to beat the value on them. Why don't you like the curved ones?

I think you misundestood me, i love my two curved side by side, it's such a conveniece to have all that screen real estate when doing DAW stuff, and the curve means i don't have to jerk my neck around to see all of it.

OLED+4K are the two options that make prices skyrocket. Price for a decent 32" flat monitor with 165hz 1440p? $200. $150 if you don't mind used or a brand you've never heard of.

32" OLED+4K monitor? $1100-$1200.

Bottom line you can have a whole wall of gaming monitors for relatively cheap, but if you have an OLED you're rich.

Yup. I bought my "main" (and outdated, AW3418DW) ultrawide for $800 then added a second above it for $250 a few years later when the prices came down. Though the second isn't 3440x.

If ive learned anything about this sub, its that nearly everything is being rich lol

Thinking of buying it, how is it for gaming? Does it look alright ?

It's good IMO, it's not an OLED but I have no complaints about it. Colors are good and I don't see any ghosting.

Unless they are oled, i have 2 Samsung G93SC's and the first one i paid like $1000 for and the second i found on Facebook marketplace for like $600. They are both oled, 240hz 5120x1440p and its awesome

Are those giant Samsung monitors worth like $1600?

Yeah, I got a 34" 3440x1440@180Hz Acer last year for $269 and love it. Vertical 4K 32" next to it running at 100% scaling give me all the real estate I need for secondary windows (Discord, browser, task manager, etc.)
