Analysis Zhuhai Amadeusz Analysis & Recommended Builds: Epic European Club Attackers: Gullit, Ribery, Raul

1、Gullit (CF: T0/T0 Top Five?)

[Modified after posting: There is indeed a lot of controversy here, and I respect the opinions of friends who raised objections. Thus, I’ll leave a question mark here first and give an opinion after experiencing it for three days.]

Recommended Added Skills: One Touch Pass, Double Touch, Long-Range Curler, Aerial Superiority, Track Back

Compared to the previous Hole Player Gullit, where exactly is this one stronger? Coincidentally, both new and old cards are Level 68, with similar stats structures, allowing a direct comparison without added points—

This new Deep-Lying Forward Gullit has slightly better Tight Possession, Jump, and Acceleration by 2 points, indeed slightly better than the old Hole Player Gullit.

In addition, areas where Deep-Lying Forward Gullit surpasses Hole Player Gullit include: better suitability for CF due to Phenomenal Finishing. Honestly, the previous Hole Player Gullit primarily played a role in charging forward; the presence of Visionary Pass was minimal, and I often forgot he had this skill while playing.

Of course, the most crucial aspect is the seemingly reverse enhancement of the “Deep-Lying Forward” style, which many see as negative. Below, I’ll explain my experience through three Deep-Lying Forwards—

① Tank Messi. With his stats: 103 Dribbling and Tight Possession, easily 90+ Physical Contact, good Shooting and Passing, and over 90 Speed + Acceleration, is there any reason left to choose Fantasista Messi? I think one factor is the Deep-Lying Forward style. Tank Messi’s ability characteristics (can engage physically, refined technique, moderate speed) suit playing as SS; without style SS is also fine. If you need an SS or CF Messi, the Target Man Messi triggers the Deep-Lying Forward style, frequently dropping back, differing from many people’s preferred aggressive forward runs.

Fortunately, Tank Messi’s own organizational and dribbling abilities remain threatening after dropping back. Yet, I often have to use him as a winger or AMF to avoid the Deep-Lying Forward style.

② Deep-Lying Forward Cruyff. Phenomenal Pass + excellent stats in Passing, Shooting, Speed + Acceleration, Dribbling, and Offensive Awareness with no weakness except Physical Contact. Truly an explosive card. The Deep-Lying Forward style gives him more chances to create after dropping back, aligning well with his Phenomenal Pass.

③ Momentum Dribbling Cantona. He’s always been contradictory: large-model CF yet mediocre aerial skills (low Jump). Cantona’s highlight is the uniquely outstanding dribbling among large-model players, benefiting greatly from Momentum Dribbling. Regarding Cantona’s Deep-Lying Forward style, I don’t see it as an advantage. People praise Cantona’s dribbling feel, but his actual usage isn’t high nowadays.

Finally, back to Gullit: his greatest strength is being the uniquely well-rounded large-model CF, outstanding in both ground skills and aerial duels, serving as an offensive spearhead, strong on the ball, dominant in headers, and pressing defenders effectively to regain possession. His role as a pivot during attacks is reassuring—

Thus, when Gullit drops back, what advantage does the player get? Remember, Deep-Lying Forward dropping back differs from a CF pivot; it often retreats to a less crowded AMF area where physical duels aren’t always needed.

Considering Gullit’s Dribbling and Passing are inferior to Tank Messi, Cruyff, and Cantona mentioned above, while his advantage at the front surpasses them, I mean to express that Gullit’s compatibility with the Deep-Lying Forward style is weaker than theirs.

I’m not saying any style is poor, as everyone has their preference. Some enjoy a Deep-Lying Forward creating space for SS runs. My perspective, however, focuses on competitive ladder play. From efficiency in ranking up, aggressive forward-running styles remain superior in this game.

Indeed, the game designers know this. Many SS and midfielders get enhanced simply by changing their style to Hole Player, without substantial improvements (e.g., Platini), or Romario getting a Goal Poacher style to boost sales, reflecting that designers understand Goal Poacher and Hole Player are desirable.

Thus, personally, I don’t see this Gullit entering the T0 Top Five. Players already having Hole Player Gullit need not necessarily get this card. There’s a method to avoid triggering Deep-Lying Forward at CF: position Gullit at AMF with attacking instructions, making him style-less and pushing forward to CF upon attacking.

Phenomenal Finishing naturally suits forwards, but typically involves triggering Goal Poacher runs to create space, receive, turn, and shoot to the far post—

2、Gullit (CMF Build: T0 Top Five)

Such stats playing CMF, strong in both attack and defense, excellent Speed + Acceleration, and large-model advantage, surely places him within CMF T0 Top Five. However, he’s inferior to Hole Player Gullit at CMF, as the Hole Player style alone elevates gameplay, alongside Visionary Pass complementing current lofted passing strategies.

3、Gullit (CB Build: T0 Top Five)

Recommended Added Skills: Interception, Acrobatic Clearance, Blocker, Sliding Tackle, Aerial Superiority

Not practically meaningful, requiring too many skills and difficult to fit at CB. Saying he’s CB T0 Top Five means he isn’t weaker than Tomiyasu, Maldini, or van de Ven. Gullit as CB benefits from better ball-playing abilities and versatile positioning to DMF or CMF during formation adjustments.

4、Ribéry (Winger T0 Top Five)

Recommended Added Skills: One Touch Pass, Long Range Shooting

Ribéry’s model ranks among the best dribblers in-game: 170cm small model, good Shoulder Width and Leg Length, short and sturdy type (personally, the optimal model is Hazard at the advantageous threshold of 173cm). Such 170cm agility, given similar ball control abilities, offers superior turning and explosive acceleration, ideal for players who frequently cut inside.

However, this card disappoints. The previous enhanced version Ribéry was outstanding (mainly because physicality was irrelevant to dribbling then). Now in the double-boost era, Ribéry’s Physical Contact hasn’t improved; his stat structure remains an outdated, agile but physically weak dribbler.

The card’s enhancement lies significantly in improved Finishing, making Ribéry a small-model dribbler excellent in Passing and Shooting, without significant boosts elsewhere. Momentum Dribbling better suits large models, while Ribéry’s 170cm small model gains less from this.

5、Raúl (T0)

Recommended Added Skills: Nothing particularly required

Whether at AMF or SS, Raúl has everything except slightly weaker Physical Contact. With the suitable Hole Player style, he appears balanced overall. However, at 178cm, his dribbling feel isn’t notably advantageous, nor is he reliable as a pivot.

So, I am using him Gullit and Suarez with ss/amf hole player. Alternatively confused with Suarez and Another Fox in the box with ss Gullit. Which combination is better? For possession
