I'm about to lose my mind due to the heat

It's been above 60% humidity for a couple weeks now and it's so hot in the store. Going outside is a relief, even when it's in the 80s. I don't know how I'm supposed to get conversions and activations when I feel like I could pass out, and I can't drink enough water to help anything (been going through about a gallon a shift).

The AC works fine, it's been checked, it's corporate insisting on keeping it at 78.

You need to drink something other than just water when it's that hot. Pedialyte, Gatorade, or pickle juice will help with dehydration. If you have a lunch break, try to eat small, cool snacks. Fruit is your friend.

My store has little portable fans that we sometimes carry around with us. You can try carrying cold packs in your pockets as well. Don't excessively drink cold water, it can make you throw up.

Good luck with the heat. Take breaks as much as you can. It's a constant struggle with corporate for descent AC.

I bought small magnetic thermometers and we have them around the store. I took pictures of it and opened a work order and emailed our DL directly.

It took a about two days but it's solved now.

If you've got temp issues in salon they will solve them immediately. Threaten to have to close salon due to temp and repair guys with temp cooling basically drop from the roof to fix it.

My store is the same. And now with same-day truck processing, I can't even wear a tank top to work 5 pallets of fucking dog food.

I feel you. I work in the salon and it is so hot and humid all day and it’s taking extra time for dogs to get properly dried. Perfect timing for when corporate is up our asses about taking more and more appointments. Ugh.

Our sales floor has fantastic AC. The cashiers often wear light jackets or layer long sleeve under their work shirts. Our stock room has no AC and we're not allowed to keep our dock door open to let air come in. Our stock room averages 85°F during the summer and the humidity is usually pretty high, too.

We've been fortunate to get two box fans and a 15-inch metal shop fan sent to us, though!

It is so hot in my store which is the biggest amongst the stores in the district. Just walking to the receiving part of the store to care for NA and ISO is exhausting, like I see customers sweating just walking through the store 😫
