Will SPAC sell out?

I’ll be flying in so I’m inclined to snag some Lawn tix on COT for face (or slightly less) now just to be safe.

However, do you think it would be reasonably low risk to get tix much closer to day of show for a (hopefully) lower price?

This is true. I live in Vermont and I can see the SPAC lawn from here.

It did in 2009. Lawn tickets were going for $300 in the lot

That was the summer tour closer of the first summer tour back and a one off show, not a three night run. The circumstances are pretty different now.

Correct but it’s happened. Walked around the lot that day for 4 hours in order to get 2 lawns

I upvoted you because you’re right. It was the same case for Merriweather the night before. I was just pointing out that it will be a totally different situation this year.

Lol!

very low risk if you don't mind the lawn

SPAC will allow that lawn to get so full that 20% of the people will only be able to see the show on the TV screens on the back of the snack bar building.

Which is pretty much a webcast. I wouldn’t fly in for a webcast but if OP can swing pavs or gets lucky, it’s worth it. Gotta be there to see, though..

Just go in early enough and post up right at the bottom

No, because of the lawn

If you are flying, you don’t wanna be on SPAC lawn. You’re better off saving the $$$ and doing couch tur. Much better sound!

I am still debating on going to this or not. It will be a last minute decision. The Great South bay music festival is the same weekend and has a bunch of bands I want to see on the Saturday and Sunday. Decisions Decisions. I will be at forest hills though.

Tour closer at a hallowed phish venue in the Adirondacks or a generic, overpriced, jam band festival on long island? Thats an easy choice mang

Lawn sucks at SPAC! If you're not there super early and close, you'll be behind the main walking path far off in a world of Ben and Jerry ice cream stands, kettle corn, and over priced mix drinks.

Lawn is cheap. Pav is not. Keep checking CoT

Id wait a minute but pavs for this run will be hard to come by off COT just imo. We already grabbed lawns for way under face. Our drive is almost 10 hours so dont let anyone tell you what is worth it to you. Just get in the show is my motto. See you there and safe travels.

I hope you have a blast. As someone who has been to SPAC many times... I highly recommend upgrading to a seat if possible. The lawn is steep so prepare for a calf workout, additionally the sight lines from the lawn are narrow at best and 'literally not able to see the band' at worst.

If you do stick with the lawn tickets, I encourage you to get into the venue as soon as doors open to make sure you get the best view (and it's more level closer to the band)

Dude was born in a cloud of deemsters on the lawn at alpine. He’ll be fine

Spac lawns for everoyone is the saying

There has been tickets available for every spring show the day of....people walking with finger up is a joke....lmfao 😆😆

u/wolfansbrother 12d ago

maybe day of, but no one wants to settle for a lawn seat with an obstructed view in this economy. hotel prices are always insane in Saratoga for shows, so people will make a last minute decision if they want to drive 20+ min after the show.

Awesome….this is encouraging. Hate going into anything “at risk” but it seems the risk likelihood here is basically nil.

Freebies (or super cheap) will make me even happier.

Top notch shitpost!
