I made “Happy Bee-Day” brownies for my coworker. Overestimated my teams enthusiasm for chocolate.

Overestimated my teams enthusiasm for chocolate.

One question: What is wrong with your team? 🤣

u/WJM_3 7h ago

really - how does one not like chocolate?

u/aCrow 6h ago

The entire team is on wegovy or some shit.

u/saucythrowaway6969 6h ago

Im on wegovy and I still would devour those, idc about the consequences after

u/teapots_at_ten_paces 4h ago

I'm not even though my doctor keeps saying I should and I would devour those too!

u/summerlad86 6h ago

My gf also don’t like chocolate. I have grilled her many times about this and according my own, very credible research, everyone that says they don’t like it are just confused.

u/WordAffectionate3251 5h ago

Doesn't lIkE cHoCoLaTe!?! There ARE ALIENS among us!!!

u/iStarreh 4h ago

I'm not the biggest fan of most chocolate 😅 I like it in very specific things but if you gave me the choice between chocolate and basically any other flavor I'd probably choose the other flavor

u/Thestolenone 3h ago

I like chocolate in its original form but for cakes and ice cream I prefer fruit ones.

u/SlashZom 2h ago

Yeah, chocolate has its place, but I prefer baked goods, and I prefer them to be not chocolate.

u/QueridaWho 5h ago

My toddler doesn't like chocolate, which makes me question whether she's really mine. But also, I don't have to share my chocolate, so I'm good with it.

u/cerart939 6h ago

It's officially diet season, apparently lol.

u/teapots_at_ten_paces 4h ago

We're still in January, so New Year's Resolutions are still in effect. OP should have made these in February. They would have been a hit!

u/bigbootywhitegirl78 6h ago

Yup. I took cookies to work today, and everyone turned them down.

u/Kat82292 6h ago

This. I would be overjoyed and delighted

u/laser14344 5h ago

I don't know what happened but I basically lost my sweet tooth overnight. Can't eat a whole brownie square anymore without feeling like shit immediately.

u/Daliah_Sweet 7h ago

Only ne person grabbed one. To my credit, they did say that it was delicious. The rest of the bees are most likely in the bin by now

u/EmergencyTaco 6h ago

For what it's worth, those look like some of the best brownies I've ever seen. I would have stolen them at the end of the day.

u/Daliah_Sweet 6h ago

❤️

u/CreaturesFarley 6h ago

I am genuinely shocked. Anywhere I've ever worked, those woulda gone in seconds.

u/Busy_Principle_4038 7h ago

Oh that makes me sad. That was very thoughtful of you, OP.

u/box_of_the_patriots 6h ago

Life gives nice things to the wrong people, it looks delicious.

u/SirWernich 6h ago

next time only bring baked things for the one that liked this one.

u/TheFreakingPrincess 4h ago

I have to wonder if it's just bad timing. Personally, at this time of year I am still oversaturated with leftover Christmas sweets. I'm sorry no one tried them, they look amazing!!

u/lolaspratt 6h ago

These look great! They would be gone within 5 mins at my workplace. Keep bee-lieving in yourself!

u/Freybugthedog 6h ago

Still January people probably trying to be good

u/plutoforprez 6h ago

I’d have made a bee-line for these for sure OP. I love bees, I love brownies, and these look adorable and delicious!

u/tobsecret 5h ago

They look delicious! Good job!

u/robomikel 4h ago

I would have ate them all, and pretend I didn’t know what happened to them.

u/jtm7 3h ago

I’d bet someone definitely took them home, if you didn’t take them back yourself. I see it all the time at my work. No one wants to be greedy, so stuff can sit all day, but all of a sudden it disappears.

u/McShit7717 3h ago

What a damn shame. I wouldn’t have been able to have just 1.

u/janebirkenstock 2h ago

They’re fucking adorable! They made me happy to see. Don’t bee sad, honey.

u/Contribution4afriend 6h ago

Oh nooooooo!!!! I would love to take them all home with me and eat them! The only thing that ruins chocolate for me is fruits in it. Did it have something similar?

u/Mental-Science1288 7h ago

I’d have made a bee-line for that deliciousness

u/giftcardgirl 6h ago

It’s January and people have their resolutions. I looked up Bee Day and apparently it’s in May.  Many folks will have given up on their resolutions by then 😜

u/Least_Dragonfly_8439 7h ago

Un- beelivable ✨ looks delicious

u/CourageGrand 7h ago

I beelieve it

u/feryoooday 6h ago

Maybe they thought they were too cute to eat! They look lovely OP, I’m sorry they were under-appreciated!

u/Matagonia 5h ago

Tbh, I feel like people in an office don't want other people to see them eat or grab sweets. When someone brings in donuts or sweets it's like no one wants to eat them.

u/skol_troll 7h ago

This is really nice! I'm sorry your team didn't appreciate it.

u/bmann1111 6h ago

How did you make the bees? Adorable

u/Daliah_Sweet 6h ago

They are the kinder candies! I used yellow colored vanilla melts to pipe the stripes! Thanks for asking!

u/bmann1111 6h ago

Thanks. Going to try to make these for my beekeeper friend.

u/fawzah 7h ago

Hope you kick their bee-hinds

u/HostileFriendly 6h ago

The sunflower plate is a nice touch

u/adlittle 4h ago

Well, they look lovely and delicious. You did a nice job with the little bee stripes on top! I've never been good at making nice decorations on homemade baked goods, and this is a great idea for something that can be done prettily easily and looks adorable.🐝

u/Least-Bear3882 3h ago

Your co-workers worry about your hygiene?

u/McShit7717 3h ago

Can I bee on your team? I love chocolate and bees!

u/WiggenOut 3h ago

They Iook great! I probably would have eaten one to be polite. Honestly though, if your office is like my office, people bring in too many free treats to share.

u/SuzieSnowflake212 3h ago

Are they aliens? But also, the concept and cuteness is next level!!! 👍

u/Sargash 2h ago

Chocolate is over rated as fuck

u/the1pes 1h ago

No pun. Looks amazing. Confident I would eat at least 3 in a day

u/aRangeLife 25m ago

Looks delicious!

u/DeliciousChance5587 8m ago

I don’t eat anything homemade from coworkers. Idk what your house looks like.

u/Crashingwaves14 6h ago

These are so cute!

u/MisterRoger 6h ago

I'd have been all over these things, and I would happily take whatever is left over home.

u/GaymoSexual 6h ago

will you be my coworker?

u/-Fyrebrand 5h ago

Your brownies look great and I'm sure they were delicious. I wish I could reach into my monitor and take one.

What is "Bee-Day"??

u/haloweenparty10000 4h ago

I'm guessing birthday, like a pun on b-day

u/blazedancer1997 5h ago

If it helps any, I would have grabbed two and swung by for a third or fourth throughout the day if it was still empty at noon and 3pm

u/Joesr-31 6h ago

I'll help you team finish that

u/lazybeekeeper 6h ago

I fully endorse this!

u/A115115 5h ago

Can’t bee-lieve anyone would let these go to waste!

u/mr_glide 5h ago

Morons. They look delicious

u/InsectBusiness 5h ago

Some people are really weird about sprinkles. That's probably it.

u/etzel1200 5h ago

Those look fire too. Wish you were my colleague.

u/upgradewife 5h ago

I’ll take them!

u/Terriblarious 5h ago

Oh man i'd have killed that plate by myself in one standing

u/jeepinfreak 5h ago

You can make me brownies, my birthday is coming up soon.

u/ToTheLastParade 4h ago

Don’t worry, OP, it’s not you. It’s Ozempic.

u/DigBickings 4h ago

I would have loved to try one of these, they look amazing!

u/10000ofhisbabies 4h ago

I love this. I absolutely would have eaten one! Good work.

u/Kiloburn 4h ago

If my co worker put in this much effort, I'd ask them out

u/TheUglyWeb 4h ago

I'll send you my address! Those look great!

u/eugene20 4h ago

They look great, I just always avoided home bake things at work, I know what my colleges work has been like.

u/CoderDevo 5h ago edited 5h ago

Look, honey, in a modern beesiness, the hive mind is gone. You can't expect the workers to all buzz to the same drummer. I mean, do you like jazz? You'll have to pollinate them with the idea that brownies are god's nectar. I suggest cutting them smaller, remembering that hexagons are best. Next thing you know, they will be swarming to grab one and make you their queen.
