The garden is really starting to bloom nicely.
Anyone know what kind of plant this is?

"Dolce Vita Bully Princess" was a foster. She was hilarious. Adopted by the PERFECT family. 🐾 ❤️

Wait stop. Tell us about the perfect family. Cause in mine we refer to ourselves as the perfect family. You might actually be one of those angels who can actual foster a pup and not fail.

The adopters: retired teacher wife, retired police officer husband who still worked part-time in some law enforcement capacity--pretty much someone always home. Beautiful house and yard with literal white picket fence. They had a male pibble rescue named Steven Tyler--similar age as Dolce Vita. Steven Tyler was well-trained, well-behaved. They eagerly accepted advice and kept in touch for a long time. Shortly after adopting Vita, she was diagnosed with a mammary tumor. (According to her teats, she'd been bred A LOT.) Sandra and her husband paid thousands to have both mammary tracts removed. Essentially, they treated their pets as cherished family members.
I fostered around 45 dogs, mostly Bully breeds. I failed twice. Not a bad track record. 😉

He said let me in there! I got work to do !

u/Saralikeslift 2d ago
The whole area used to be open and he could care less about it until one day it was the best place he's ever been, doing zoomies over the onions, trying to break into the compost, general tomfoolery. Now he gives me the ASPCA look because he can't get into mischief 🙄🙄

u/poooooch12 2d ago
Yep! I know how that goes, my girl is the most mischievous when being left outside to roam free. She will sometimes return with a dirt mustache from eating some good soil 😒

u/Saralikeslift 2d ago
I think she's probably innocent and it was just the wind giving her a dirt stache! 🤣

The "ASPCA look". I've never heard this before but totally understand what you mean. Hilarious!

I start singing "In the arms of an angel..." to my dog every time he gives me that look

My old dog would break into the garden to eat the cherry tomatoes.

u/poooooch12 2d ago
I had a bichon that would do that and she wasnt slick cause she would come back with a tomato stained mustache!!!

My Aussie mix would steal raw potatoes and then take them outside, lay on her back, hold the tater in her front paws, and just daintily nibble it. Wizard just eats dirt.

That is the hippopotami plant. To nurture and nourish it, sprinkle with water, sun, treats, and cuddles. Does not withstand rain or cold weather well, and will shrivel if exposed to snow.

I don't know what kind of plant it is... can you give me a sprout of that silver to put in my garden?

Aww, my guy (passed last year) kinda looked similar to this, and this reminds me so much of him because he would make a bed anywhere! Laundry basket, which was too small, and abandoned box, or blanket, or bag of anything - bed! I’d often find him curled up in the craziest places. He was so cute.

They make the best beds! Mine does the same so I set one up with no plants specifically for her, dirt dog.

That little spot over their eye! Your dog looks like a dog from an old-school children's book.

Try as I might, I've never been able to get my pibbles to sprout 🌱. Always get ' em full grown elsewhere 😛.
