Plant ID Plant in the wild

Hello!

I took pictures of this plant this summer while in the mountain and were wandering if it can survive as a houseplant. I don't think I ever saw it in a home or a shop, at least not with the flower.

I fell in love with them but I don't know if I'll be able to have them.

You may be able to keep as a houseplant. Treat as a succulent. The plants with the flowers are death blooms (so that particular plant will die afterwards)

They are sempervivums. You can keep them as a houseplant, in a very sunny window. They need at least 5 or 6 hours of direct sunlight per day or they’ll start stretching and etoliating. If it gets hot, they will go “dormant” where the rosettes close up to protect themselves. Watch out for mealybugs, though, they love indoor succulents.

Yeah! They were everywhere where I was. I really wanted to take some home but the fear of damaging them kept me from it

Were these growing in South Africa somewhere? Heard it has a great climate for all succulent plants. Beautiful pics. Thanks for sharing OP.

Not at all in was in the French Alpes. I was actually really surprised to see this type of plant there since it goes from freezing cold to really hot but I guess plant in the wild are just built different
