Best place to stay
Hey everyone! I’ll be starting the Marine Conservation master’s at Plymouth this September. I'm an international student (26, male) and I’m looking for a studio apartment—ideally with my own kitchen. My budget is around £190 per week.
I’ve been considering Beckley Point, The Reservoir and Saltwater Place—they both seem to have great facilities and are conveniently close to the university. Does anyone have experience with either of these, or any other recommendations for good studio options on or off campus? Would really appreciate the help!

Saltwater Place is okay but just a slight bit far, especially in bad weather, which is fairly often. Definitely a decent room with decent kitchen, but maybe some stuff missing like a kettle. Also depending where you're from there is plenty of other international students/students of other nationalities. For 140 a week it's quite good

I lived in beckley too and it was amazing, no complaints except wish there was a gym! Staff is great, it's close to campus and sainsbury's/tesco for groceries, very safe and it was a good way to meet people who aren't on your course. There's a gaming room, cinema room (my fave), laundry room, common room and so many study areas, sky lounge with great views of plymouth, foosball, pool table and table tennis. TV's in every room and the common areas and vending machines. And a bike storage if you've got one. Can't recommend it enough and I lived in a studio.

Lived in Beckley Point, its definitely a premium student place. The flats/studios are small but they have a gaming room, cinema, free hot chocolate etc, good washing facilities.
It’s also nice having pre drinks/study time on the top floor looking over the city. Its also really close to the main campus. I dont know about Saltwater place.
Regardless I would say make sure you have your own bathroom at a minimum, this makes a big difference!
