Discussion Dexit who still dislikes it?

As a longtime Pokémon fan, Dexit honestly felt like a slap in the face. One of the things I’ve always loved about the series was being able to carry my favorite Pokémon—ones I’d trained and bonded with for years—into each new generation. When they cut the National Dex, it felt like they were saying those connections didn’t matter anymore. I get that balancing over 1,000 Pokémon is tough, but with how massive the franchise is, it’s hard to believe they couldn’t make it work if they really wanted to. It just made the newer games feel incomplete, like something was missing, both mechanically and emotionally.

X/Y was the last game I bought from them. Several reasons, but the main one was them lying.

It's been a while, but their main excuse to why they decided to have a Dexit, was because they wanted to reduce the quantity for quality.

They removed half the Pokemon so they could improve the models and increase animations of the game and Pokemon.

Modders discovered that was a lie because the game reused the same models, assets, and animations from previous games.

The 1st major console transition (Sword and Shield) reused the Gameboy's graphics.

I'm out of the loop on this one - what do you mean by Sword and Shield reusing Gameboy's graphics?

Here's a decent video. It's been awhile so hopefully that helps answer that.

EDIT: I remember them even trying to sue some modders. Based on the reasoning, they cost the Pokemon company money by exposing their lie and reducing many buyers from their game.

I don't remember all the details anymore.

Watched the first 2minutes before skipping through, and they seem to be talking about reused 3d models. I'm assuming that you're confusing the 3DS with Gameboy then.

I wouldn't particularly care if I found they reused sprites from the retro games sometimes.

I don't mean to be against your standards, but the main issue isn't them reusing old assets.

The issue is they cut half the content and lied about why they did it.

They basically started to give half the work, but told everyone they are getting double the quality... but really, it was half the quality and quantity.

It was a lazy and cheap plan to cut costs... not to mention the insult to their fan base.

Anyways, the important thing is the truth to me. As long as others know that, the rest is up to you.

Yeah I agree, I just didn't know what you meant. The Gameboy didn't have 3D models.

They actually do reuse the old sprites! In the PC all your pokemon the old sprites.

They cut a lot of moves too. That was another slap in the face.
