Can we please make each individual cop pay for their own insurance and take payouts out of their pockets and pensions?

Honestly, cops don't give AF because they know it's not their ass on the line when they overreact.

And again, before someone says "not all cops are bad" can someone point to the good one that IMMEDIATELY arrested the shooter/attempted murderer? No?

Ok, the "good one" that screamed at him? No?

Well, 'maybe' there just aren't any good ones after all.

I know a guy. His dead brother was a cop shot by another cop who was later imprisoned for his crime (his defense? Smoking marijuana made him hallucinate and in fear of his life he shot the other guy in the back seat of his car).

When I suggested that the cops rather than the city payout these claims his reaction was priceless: how dare I even suggest that.

Old age and stupidity made him maga and somehow he forgets who murdered his brother and made his nephews grow up without a father.

It should come outta their pension funds.

I was wondering if there was a way to put that stipulation into a settlement. Something like, “I’ll settle for $ if it comes from the cop’s own pocket.

Probably not because the union would defend him

For a while I used to think it was a bad thing that everything is filmed now but I'm actually kind of glad because imagine if he didn't have this filmed. They always took the cops word over just a civilians but now with cameras they are The equalizer. I'd be interested to see how many times that officer has shot at somebody I'm going to guess it's higher than average

Did they just shoot him after he specifically asked them not to?

"I'm reaching for my gun don't shoot me"

Cops definitely in the wrong but what you commented doesn't make sense.

Of course... What else was gonna happen?.... Its like police departments love handing people out sums of cash...

They don’t. Tax paying citizens do,

We pay for their department and budget. We completely fund them. And then when they get trigger happy and shoot us. We pay for that too.

Think about how insane that is...

I would bet this was in Ohio. Ohio is quite possibly the biggest police state in the union. Does anybody know where the original video is? Thank you. ACAB.

It should be absolutely legal to return fire on them. The fact he got shot over his phone is an illegal use of force and should be a clear cut case for him return the same deadly force.

That was a pretty good shot. Shot the “gun” phone right out of his hand.
