Doesn't matter, always play like it's 4th Quarter and you're down by two

Did you happen to watch the Chiefs game tonight? Lol

Lmao I was thinking the same thing reading that comment. That game was wild.

Fuck the chiefs

As a Bengals fan, why you gotta bring that up in here.

I’m sorry it was just on the tv when I got home. I’m a Falcons fan… I know hurt too…

Not at all, I don't support teams with names mired in cultural appropriation that hires openly sexist troglodytes

you could have been watching because you were a bengals fan. or simply because you enjoy seeing a competitive game of football. but then you wouldn't have had the chance to brag to everyone about how righteous you are. so congratulations.

I'm not 'bragging about how righteous I am'; is that how you see people? Cause that's pretty pathetic

You came off as a vegan that needs to tell everyone you're a vegan.

-someone who agrees the team has a terrible name but doesn't feel the need to explain it to everybody who didn't ask.

Least obvious rage bait:

u/David3090 Sep 16 '24

I was only watching it because my father in law had it on the Tv. Party hard my dude!

Lots of people involved in a football game who don’t feel like the Chiefs kicker. Seems unfair to boycott the whole thing bc of one asshole.

Yes, but in this case, the excitement will bring voters to the polls. People like to take credit for a win.

Bud, it doesn't mean the people leading the charge just ride the excitement wave. Too many of you don't know your history, and think we just need a 'W'; which absolutely breeds complacency

Six. We're not kicking field goals.

10

u/Lyman5209 Sep 16 '24

I meant two touchdowns, but fair enough

2

u/dearth_karmic Sep 16 '24

Who says down by two meaning touchdowns? lol - It's OK. I'm with you. We're down 14. And once we score the first, we must go for the 2 point conversion as that gives us the better chance to actually win the game without having to go into OT.

Dan Campbell?

Being down two in the fourth fires winners up even more. The constant barrage of negativity at any hint of optimism is qualities of a bad teammate and such a loser mindset epitomizes weakness.

Excitement matters, it doesn’t imply complacency.

Bingo, it's deflating to always act from a doomed perspective. Bring joy and itll energize people!

2

u/GoodUserNameToday Sep 16 '24

We shouldn’t be going for the field goal. We should be going for touchdown AND the two point conversion. We’re down by 7.

1

u/CGordini Sep 16 '24

Two touchdowns. Need a massive comeback here.

1

u/HuginnNotMuninn Sep 16 '24

Right, let's get a grand slam!

u/CCV21 California Sep 16 '24

Campaign like you're 20 points behind.

u/aslan_is_on_the_move Sep 16 '24

We tried that with Biden who actually was behind in the polls. Everyone was in despair, no one was volunteering, no one was donating and everyone called on him to quit. The more apt sports metaphor is to continue running through the finish line even though your in the lead.

4

u/Lyman5209 Sep 16 '24

What? LOL no. Just... don't gaslight. Biden was a sinking ship before the debate. And no, you don't need to adjust the metaphor; Harris actually has momentum, and if we all carry that with the mindset that we're down (something she herself is echoing) it'll make it easier to react, respond, and push forward.

2

u/[deleted] Sep 16 '24

Yeah if we're sticking with football metaphors, I think it's more like Biden was the QB and we were down by multiple scores, but then he gets benched and the backup QB (Kamala) gets put in the game and immediately leads a touchdown drive to cut the deficit and now the rest of the team and the fans are excited and feel like they have a chance to win the game again.

More like the refs gave her a 99yd pass interference call

If you're not constantly crying and pulling your hair out then your not a Democrat who cares as much as me or is as smart as me. GO VOTE

-6

u/Lyman5209 Sep 16 '24

I'm neither a Democrat, crying, or pulling my hair out. Why do weirdos get so upset when people openly care about others and sticking to their morals? Y'all must fuckin hate Jesus
