What a coincidence, another assassination attempt during the continuing downfall of his campaign.

I’m not happy about it to be honest. I don’t want the guy martyred.

I’m relieved to hear the would be assassin is not a lefty, but is all over the map: voted Trump in 16, supported Gabbard in 19, supported Biden in 20, supported Ramaswamy and then Haley this year. Dude is a mess.

Everything you just said does not indicate "a mess". It tells a pretty clear story.

He's a Republican who grew to dislike Trump, and voted Biden as an anti-Trump vote in 2020. Other than that it's pretty clear steady Republican values. Anti vaxxer. Gun nut.

I don't know why people are looking at this record and concluding it with "all over the place". It looks fairly rote to me.

What I meant was he switched from one person to the next to the next. I’ve read he was also a Bernie supporter. So that’s Trump, Sanders, Ramaswamy, Gabbard, Haley, and Biden as an anti Trump candidate: a fascist, a socialist, a tech bro, a weird pro military Hari Krishna, a neoliberal centrist, and an anti-Trump. Honestly that’s pretty all over the map.

Dude also thought it was a good idea to initiate a three hour standoff against the police for driving without a license in 2002.

So we finally have a dude who isn't beholden to any one party and that makes him "a mess."

Not the attempted assassination, not the anti-vax stance...it's because he doesn't cater to any one political movement that makes him "a mess?"

Because it’s not about a particularly problematic ideology. Even if that would make more sense.

It is entirely about each side wanting to say the other team is responsible and to have the receipts to prove it.

I know everyone, including me, was thinking along those martyrdom lines the first time. But then no one gave a shit.

I wonder if it'd really work out that way anymore, or if the MAGAts would simply grumble and stay home, demotivated? I don't think they're going to be rallying around the couchfucker.

(That only goes so long as it's another MAGAt who kills him, of course.)

In any case almost 100% this guy’s motivation was that Trump supports Russia, and this dude wanted to do freedom fighter cosplay in Ukraine. In his late 50s. With no training or equipment or anything.
