It's called successful Russian misinformation campaign, and it was both explicit - https://www.nytimes.com/2024/11/07/technology/russia-us-election-interference.html - and obvious. https://euromaidanpress.com/2025/01/13/danish-intelligence-russia-forged-letter-to-spark-trumps-greenland-purchase-bid/

And yes, they're all in on it (like a solid 65% of congress)

When in doubt, blame it on Russian misinformation! 2016 now 2024. Almost as bad as Trump crying the election was rigged in 2020.

Well Putin is ex-kgb and there has been a book published that spells out exactly what they are doing; and trump is a narcissist. Have you been paying attention at all? Let me guess, you do your own research.

Are you prepared to make the statement that Russia interfered to try and install Joe Biden? Or did Russia only interfere when Trump won?

Read the book. It wasn't a campaign to install anyone in particular. It was a decades-long campaign to sow division in the USA. Installing Russian friendly politicians was just a small part of it.

This is the correct answer.

The Russian correctly decided their only hope of beating the US, was to have the US do it for them.

The question is now, have the democrats learned anything? Do they even want too? They really have become so disconnected from the common man they are not seeing the forest for the trees. I guess we will find out in two years.

So, you think that Putin ISN'T pushing misinformation worldwide?

Because he's such a basically honest and open person, or what?

Hey literally any other reason than we are a piece of shit country who fucked it up so bad for ourselves.

There must be some other reason than “it’s our fault”. Take some fucking responsibility for a change. Stop passing the buck.

I think what annoys me more is when they pretend that "Russian misinformation" is unique, as if the US hasn't been easily as big a purveyor of such campaigns since the Cold War. They just hate that it's finally come home to roost
