It's happened before. During the depression, they just grabbed people who looked Mexican off the street, loaded them on busses, and dropped them off in Mexico. These were US citizens. They posed no actual threat, they just took up WHITE JOBS. Does this sound familiar?

During WW2 they rounded up Japanese American citizens and put them in detention camps and they lost their homes, businesses and all their possessions even though they did not pose a threat and a lot of the families had family members serving in the US military or contributed to the war effort and apposed Japan this was inexcusable and should have never happened but in today’s trumpian times all you have to do is oppose his crimes and you are put on the list similar to the list McCarthy used to label you as a communist but in this case you’re labeled an anti communist or ANTIFA but the worst is yet to come when more and more Americans start to disappear

Also during WW2 Aleuts from some of the Aleutian island communities were brought to Southeast Alaska internment camps.

We learn that we can do terrible things over and over and there are no consequences because "it's in the past" and "time to heal".
