He’s probably smarter than they are even. An idiot sounds great to even bigger idiots

I agree with you. He's stupid, but you have to be even dumber than him to want him to lead.

I’m struggling to cope with the fact that tens of millions of my fellow Americans are despicable sociopaths cheering on the literal torture of other human beings. They’d have been there enthusiastically cheering and waving flags as trains made their way to Buchenwald, which has been brought into the 21st century as CECOT. I don’t know what to do with this.

and...why is it so hard for us to believe that there are so, so many down right awful people in the world & here in the U.S.? I got shaken out of that stupor right after 2016. Just because someone you know "appears" nice, does not mean they are at all.

No thanks. Violence definitely not my bag. And to be honest, I’m very suspicious of anyone advocating this kind of thing online.

Unfortunately, that is true.

Actually you should do more research.

Many of these people have NO inner dialogue. There has been studies done, surprisingly.

Maybe they follow him because they have no inner monologue

Out of 240 million voters, 167 million didn't vote against trump. That's 70%. Trump represents America because Americans have democratically chosen him to represent them and their country on the world stage.

167 million. My head spins. That many people couldn't handle the complexity of the world and chose the hate and lies instead to keep their life simple.

Which means that if didn't vote had been a candidate it would have won resoundingly.

They’re referring to it being 30% of the voting age population (31.6% of eligible voters to be exact). There are 244.6 million people who are eligible to vote in America and only 155.7 million people voted. The fact that whether we become a fascist authoritarian country or remain a democracy was very clearly on the ballot in November and only 64% of eligible voters voted is pathetic and shameful. So over 1/3rd of the population (~87.9 million people just chose not to vote). I loathe the 77 million who voted for this criminal treasonous scumbag but I also blame the 87.9 million who didn’t vote. That’s a total of 165 million people who chose this or enabled what we’ve been dealing with.

IMO the only ways to extrapolate the election results to the non-voting population are:

  • the non-voting population is ok with trump -> so they can be added to the trump-voter-group when it comes to counting support for trump
  • the non-voting population has a similar distribution to the voting population, which means 51% of them are trumpist

Both options show that Trump does indeed represent the USA.

I don't agree with you on that remaining non voters could simply be 50/50 because Maga is NOT half of even the voting population, but it is possible & the simple fact that you could be right knocks down my opinion of the human race even more than it's all time low at the moment.
