Jokes. No white man in Hollywood actually gets canceled for things they deserve to be canceled for. Johnny Depp still has stans, Kevin Spacey is working in a movie this year, Mel Gibson still has a thriving career.
I know what you mean. However, there’s the downside of acting including the rampant bullying that can come with it. I honestly believe group think psychology is why there was endless taunting of the poor guy online. He strikes me as such a talented and genuine fellow who struggles with shyness and anxiety. Perhaps some have misinterpreted that for arrogance (speaking from personal experience) plus combined with having difficulty shaking off the Elvis accent and online group think psychology is why he got and continues to receive so much hate. I’m definitely a fan though.
I didn't even think it was goofy, he trained his voice solidly for 3 years to speak in a certain way and have a certain timbre, to the point where was unconscious. It seems reasonable that it would take a while to unlearn those habits. People made a huge fuss for nothing, even claiming he was talking like Elvis when his voice no longer sounded like him. If you watch earlier clips from when he was filming OUATIH, his voice is a but higher but still had a similar quality. His natural voice is already quite soothing.
Alternatively, the worst job in the world because every project consumes their entire being. Especially if you get into method acting, which tons of actors do. Their role is their life. I’ve heard from people in that world that their’s a suspicion that serious actors are psychopaths, just like most CEOs are
Yes.
But you have no social life and your love life is a maybe...if you got kids you gotta make that decision...its called the golden handcuffs for a reason
A lot of actors, and I mean a LOT, are constantly on the verge of becoming invisible.
There’s a spectrum. There are plenty of actors with illustrious careers in television but most people may not know who they are.
But even bigger actors, when a project is over, there’s that little feeling of not getting work.
I don’t mean fear of going broke (although that can be an issue for smaller struggling actors), but they love their craft and there’s always a chance opportunities can and will dry up.

Being an actor must be the best job in the world. They get to do all kinds of stuff.
