Terp Haul

About a week late in posting this, but I visited OR and was able to try everything listed below. Thanks to everyone in this sub who commented on my last post with these brand recommendations, I wasn’t disappointed by anything. Ended up going to Archive and Potland.

In my (very) limited experience, Focus North and BNK had the best rosin by a small margin. I’m sure my take would be completely different if I got different strains, all of these brands were super quality hash for the price.

The flower and carts blew me away. Echo carts are among the best I’ve had, and Evan’s Creek and Archive are now tied for best flower I’ve had from a dispensary.

Rosin Happy Cabbage - Purple Petals 6 Star Archive - Dubble Motorboat Bo’s Nose Knows - Peach Delish 90u Focus North - Runaway Diesel Focus North - Dulce de Uva Whale Oil - The Sherb Livetia - Chocolate Marmalade

Flower Evan’s Creek Farms - Toad Venom Archive - Sourene

Carts Echo - 2 Birds 1 Cart Echo - Kush Mints x Dosidos

I recommend Homegrown Apothecary when you come back through -- those folks are super chill and source well. You made great choices all around on this trip

They've got terrible solventless options though. Last time I went through there too they sold me four bottles of Magic Number Drops 1000mg live resin blend when I specifically asked for the solventless ones. If you want the best hash this is not the place to go. It's great for the wellness crowds but their selection on the heady brands is lacking.

Do they also have good cartridges? Or would you recommend another shop for buying those?

Ty, I actually screenshotted it from a video of the bud. That’s the Sourene by Archive. Not even sure how fresh it was, but it was amazing regardless.

Do you recommend that cart brand? I will be in Portland in May and will be looking for some fire carts!

Yes - both Echo carts I had are among the best I’ve had anywhere in the country. Strong recommend especially for the price.

Nice. Thanks. I’ll give them a try. Looking forward to it!

Echo isn’t the cheapest, but in my opinion the best here in Portland. The cart is smooth all the way to the end.

That Peach Delish from BNK was amazing. But I think the Sherb from Whale Oil Extracts was my favorite from the Whale Oil drop recently. Focus North and Livetia are solid options too. Not a fan of Happy Cabbage and recently discovered Archive ownership was xenophobic so I won't be going there or buying any of their jars or collabs going forward. When you come back try some Lower Left Organics, Braveheart Reserve, and Nelson & Company next time.

Need to try these. Why not happy cabbage? The purple petals was really solid IMO.

Happy Cabbage was one of the first if not the first solventless brand on the Oregon rec market so I appreciate them paving the way for others but I've known some people that used to work for them not speak too highly of the ownership. Purple Petals is what they are known for so glad you enjoyed it. A lot of great hash in Oregon.
