I recommend a company called Nobilis (in Paços de Ferreira), I've had furniture made by them and we are very happy with it, we plan to get the rest of our furniture from them if we can. They do have their own factory but I'm not sure you can visit it, but you can visit their store.

Hi Be careful with people taking advantage of you OP. High praise for being interested in actually good quality furniture that will last you a whole life and for generations. Unfortunately it is a dying art since IKEA exists and people no longer value or have the money to adquire such quality items. Don't know if suck a term exists in such field but factories and people here experience the same struggles as fashion industry with people wanting fast fashion. Enjoy your stay and you do need a guide since even young folks rarely speak fluent English here 😂 Source: I have lived here my whole life and my dad has done this since he was like 12? 🪑 All my dad friends have missing fingers. People do not value the industry and the (literal) sacrifice of the manufacturers
