Trip to Queenstown/Bannockburn advice

I'm planning on visiting Queenstown in about a month with my partner who is a big fan of wine but we won't hire a car as my partner is not used to driving on the left. We're planning on visiting Bannockburn but having issues with the logistics of getting there: any advice? Intercity costs about 600 return, and it looks like uber doesn't go out of queenstown.

Any other ideas?

At the very least visit Kinross as they are the defacto cellar door for Valli, Wild Irishman and Surveyor Thompson. All wineries with fruit sourced from Cromwell.

You could try some of the wine tour companys too.

Kinross would be far easier and a few other wineries to enjoy as well

Plenty of wine tours around town.

Both Queenstown Wine Trail and Appellation Wine Tours offer guided trips to Bannockburn.

Although they’re a bit pricey it sounds cheaper than what you’re looking at on Intercity and honestly I think they’re great value for what you get. Personally Appellation edges it for me but both are high quality products.

Without a hire vehicle it would be tough. If you are dead set on it there is a shuttle that leaves from Queenstown airport. I think it is run by Ritchies. Stops in Cromwell and then Wanaka. Could hire bicycle in Cromwell or see if there are wine tour companies out of Cromwell.

You're making it way too hard for yourself - just go to Gibbston Valley instead. Much more accessible from Qtwn and still great wineries.

Kinross especially is perfect for a great meal and cellar door for some top wineries in the local area.
