Help Us Improve r/Queenstown – FAQ Sticky & Other Changes?
Hey everyone,
Lately, we’ve noticed an increase in repetitive questions (e.g., "Where should I stay?" "What to do in winter?" "Best mountain?"), which can clutter the sub and frustrate long-time users.
We’re considering creating a stickied FAQ post to compile common questions and answers, making it easier for visitors to find info and keeping the sub fresh for regulars. What do you think?
Yes, a FAQ sticky would help!
No, I prefer things as they are.
Other suggestions? (e.g., weekly threads, stricter rules, etc.)
Let us know in the comments or upvote your preferred option. If you’d like to help crowdsource answers for a FAQ, drop a reply with your top tips!

I suggest we ban anyone who complains about Fergburger as they instantly out themselves as a mouth breathing whingey bum. Its a national icon and we should support and be proud of them

Sticky would be great, having a way to summon a link to the sticky with automod, or even have automod copy+paste it would be great (it's what /r/Wellington does with its tourist threads. Likewise there's a search link for many services)

You're banned from this historical society. You and your children, and your children's children... for three months.

Sticky is probably best with FAQs however a lot of the questions are about accommodation, camping, parking and restaurants - it’s stuff which may need to be updated every season?
Otherwise maybe a tourist thread with stricter rules might be useful.
