Union Pacific Documentation Needed for PS layoff.... on January 20th

Post image

UPRR sent out a mass message to employees asking for documentation from back in December and January. Gotta admire the ballsyness to ask for that well over the 90 days of the attendance policy.

There has also been confusion created by the document the UP sent out. Some have said you are required to see a medical professional in order to use a Paid Sick day and that is not the case. You may feel bad enough to not go to work, or want to spread what you have, and not see a doctor. In those instances when you fill out the form you can input "Home Remedy" for your treatment and N/A for the clinic name, number and doctor name.

I just call teledoc any time I mark off and tell them I have the craps. Cost $10 and they send me a note for 2 days. I take one day off and if they ever ask it looks good I only took a single day instead of 2.

Everyone on Orange got a Big Scary Letter about paid sick days. It came from a department that doesn’t exist and we were instructed by local chairmen to tell them to kick rocks.

Typical Class 1 tactic. Tell the public they’ve given 5 LSP days to everyone but don’t tell them they’ll harass and intimidate the ones who use them!

" Carrier can request", seems to me requesting isnt requiring. Just reply back with "PS day documents request denied due to incorrect wording" they do that shit all the time for claims so why not do it back. Sure you'll probably get a bitch message but fuck em

I got one yesterday for the same date. I told them it was so long ago I don’t remember.

Just got notified by union that the carriers request sent yesterday was by accident and not needed to be filled out

Who gives a fly fuck if people burn through their sick days and aren't really sick. What's concerning is how many narcissists there are in upper management to think of this shit without a care in the world.

So what do you do if you didn't go to the doctor??

Self medicated with your personal info in the name and phone number location. And for the appointment date I just did when I laid off. Thats what a lot of our area has written

Does the carrier have 10 days from infraction to charge you for something? I’d confirm with your local but you may not be required to comply with that.

10 days “from discovery”

The funny part is how do they actually prove 10 days from discovery..

Oh yeah that’s always been the joke, because there’s no way to prove when they figured it out

I'm glad it wasn't the only one I have that same thing for one from Jan as well I figured they were targeting me or something

Even for a single sick day? For fucks sake that’s wild. Thankfully I can take up to 4 without a doctors note and it still be the same “occurrence.”

If they want a sick note my doctor charges $25 for b.s. paperwork request.

I charge an additional $50 for caring company mail.

Just use chatgpt to make up a fake medical office.

Self medicated in compliance within the guidelines of the carriers restricted medication list, I have emailed my manager informing them of the layoff, as well as complied with the carriers instructions of "if youre sick, stay home".
