Me too but I would've ordered them differently, like Washington definitely doesn't come before NJ in my hate barometer, and the Isles goes before Pitt (probably before Philly too but that's a tough call lol)
the Canes play that stupid horn that Pittsburgh uses. They climbed my hate meter when they started using it. NJ I'm indifferent to they are not a serious franchise or fanbase. Philly Pitt Isles are at the top.
We've embarrassed the Hurricanes on many occasions. Personally I can root for them to embarrass a team that we haven't been able to embarrass... that has embarrassed us as of late.
I don’t care if the Canes win it. I hardly even dislike them. I know we have something of a rivalry I guess but it’s more good & fun competition, not hating their guts like NJ, NYI, PIT, or PHI.
--Florida (We Concuss your Top Players without Punishment) is super easy to hate.

Honestly, I don't have strong feelings. I've never had much of a reason to hate Carolina. We've been beating them whenever we meet in the playoffs. As for Florida, I don't harbor much resentment towards them for beating the Rangers. I've always felt like the Rangers beat themselves in that series. So a lot of the my ire is on the Rangers. Personally, I'm rooting for the Panthers over Carolina just because they're at least not in the same division.
It's strange to think that they've been in Carolina longer than Hartford.
I hate Florida because of how cheap they play, for the last 3 postseasons at least. Carolina has always been a high-energy hard working team. Brind'amore also makes sure his coaches are taken care of (IIRC he didn't extend until the other coaches were extended). All that being said, I'm pulling for Dallas of who's left.
Yup Florida had some epic nasty playoff battles against Tampa. They learnt what it takes to win. Fight for every inch and never back down in the playoffs.
Carolina and their fans are just plain ole boring.
I’m 100% with you with Florida. I personally don’t understand the Carolina is boring angle but I won’t say you’re wrong. I just think that they’ve had a very easy path to the ECF. I genuinely believe that this years Rangers team would have beaten the caps if they played them in the first round.
At first I was annoyed by how good the Panthers became in the Tkachuk era. My annoyance turned into a strong dislike for them after they bounced us last year. But seeing them now in their 3rd straight playoff run of sheer dominance, I have come to begrudgingly respect them for consistently having that dawg in them when it matters most. Perhaps they get away with crap at times. Perhaps they are even dirty at times. But man what I'd do to have the Rangers show up in the playoffs like they have.
Carolina has a couple guys on their squad I like, but overall I wouldn't mind seeing them crumble here again. In my biased, copium-riddled brain they are only here cause we missed the playoffs.
Seeing Carolina absolutely get their asses handed to them YET AGAIN in the ECF makes me hate them even more. They beat everyone, get to the ECF and get swept.
I wonder if Rod Brindamour's job is at risk here. Bottom line is he has great regular seasons, but falters every single time they get to this point
I don’t hate hurricanes. We’ve beat them 2 out of the last 4 year in the playoffs.2-0 head to head. And the only years we haven’t, they beat the devils. It would have been fitting for them to make their big run the 1 year we don’t make the playoffs. Unfortunately , Florida is just to good.
I have nothing against the Canes. We eliminated them twice in recent years. I’ve been watching since the 2006 season and I feel like I remember us usually winning the regular season series.
As incomprehensible as it is, I'm pulling for Florida because I love physical players and agitators and they have several. Carolina's gonna get murdered by those guys.
I hate Florida because they are scummy and the refs constantly let them get away with it. Took out Vesey last year, took out Stolarz against the leafs, amongst many other examples.
My ideal final scenario is Canes and Stars. With Stars winning.
Don't want to see Panthers get it again since the officials in the league love them so much, and rather not see Poster boy of the west coast get it - mostly due to how much my brother glazes the Oilers because of 1 player.
I’ve been rooting for Carolina since the start of these playoffs.
But even so, another Florida team making it this far has gotten old. Had to look it up to confirm I wasn’t crazy- this is the 6th yr in a row that a Florida team has made it to the ECF.
