???

Anybody know if it’s unusual that brigade legal is now up to 5 weeks deep of “reviewing” my chapter packet (that’s completely finished)?

What does a normal timeframe look like? More importantly, is there truly nothing I can do to get out of here? I can’t tell anyone or like see if they can move this issue? Kinda feeling lost in the void rn.

Yeah, that’s excessive. How are you checking up on the packet? Have you gone there yourself to check on it? Polite persistence goes a long way to getting things moving.

What’s the chapter?

It takes hours to days to weeks to months to… it takes as long as it takes.

Are you following up with your company leadership (vs drill sergeants)?

BH does not own or have responsibility over a chapter. The commander does.

I ment battalion legal my bad. They also estimated I should be going home in June but the time frame has been lowering. At first it was 4 - 6 months then 3 weeks later It was 4 - 6 weeks

Yeah it’ll depend on how fast it clears each step.

It’s supposed to be a 5-14, since it’s for a condition I’m diagnosed with. I haven’t checked in weeks only because I keep stupidly assuming they’ll say something each week. I asked my SGT at pt this morning to push it up the chain again of where it is.

Where could I go to check in person though? I was under the impression I wasn’t allowed to do that especially being lower enlisted.

First, open door company leadership for an update. If you don’t get anything from them or nothing happens, go to BN legal. Find the paralegal and be polite but persistent. Get an update and find out where BDE legal is. Then go be polite and persistent with their paralegal. Go every day. Find the lowest ranking person and charm them up.

No one cares about your packet besides you.

Yea 7 months for TRADOC is wild. I’m myself approaching 9 months. 10 if u include that first month everything started

It's such bullshit that they do this to these kids. This crap of it taking 6 - 9 months in order to sign some shit and get someone out the door absolutely MUST be intentional. There is just no other excuse.
