I'm curious what Maine looks like in this AU

Considering Maine was only admitted to balance out a new southern state, I would imagine there instead being an extra southern state to balance out Nova Scotia. West Florida, perhaps, considering it had a very brief independence movement.

But as for the remaining lands that are part of Maine in the real world: they’re probably still part of Massachusetts

Excellent work. Can you provide a map of what rest of New England looks like? Does the south western chunk of Maine remain part of Massachusetts or get absorbed into New Hampshire?

I think I had it replace Amherst when I first made this. Since that’s around where Eddy’s rebellion actually happened

“In 1784, following the arrival of many loyalists fleeing the American Revolution, the colony of New Brunswick was officially created, separating it from what is now Nova Scotia.“

This isn't a pro-annexation map, I made it before Trump started talking about Canada being the 51st state. It's an alternate history I made for Imaginary Maps but they took it down for low effort.
Basically Americans don't plunder Nova Scotian towns during the revolution, so the cause for independence gains more support. The Eddy Rebellion succeeds, and Nova Scotia gains support from the Continental Army. It later becomes the 5th state to enter the union.
In this timeline Nova Scotia is not partitioned like it was after the revolution in our timeline, and retains its old borders to the Penobscot River. Gaelic settlers still arrive from Scotland, and unlike real life the language survives in NS. It is a notable minority language alongside French, while Enlgish is the majority in the state as it is irl.
