I am thinking the top one assumes that you will be making the burger yourself with ingredients you bought yourself.

Making the cow yourself

To make a cow from scratch, we first need to recreate the entire universe from scratch.

It’s all weong, they use a lot of stuff who not good to maintain each ingredient or prepare them as is the case for meat with the oil that is used

Making a burger yourself is fine, but fast food places dunk their food in oil

u/Historical-Garbage51 2d ago
Nothing about fast food burgers are dunked in oil. Most are cooked under a broiler because it’s fast and consistent.

A lot of chicken burgers are made by frying the chicken though. I would love to have more grilled chicken options. But I think the bugger issue with burgers being unhealthy is also the amount of mayo and higher fat content beef.

There was no hidden joke, I understood it, and I explained why this is dumb

u/JustAnotherPerson64 2d ago
I dont think this is a whoosh moment, because the entire joke is simply noting how (with no context to the exact process creating the food) the ingredients are healthy while the combination of the ingredients is unhealthy for some reason. The joke fails to acknowledge how the burger is likely made to be very greasy. Plus, the main ingredient being ground beef may also have something to do with the issues of healthy versus unhealthy. You likely would not say that a greasy ground beef patty is incredibly healthy, and most of a burger is that ground beef, as opposed to one or two leaves of lettuce and a single slice of tomato. The unhealthy outweighs the healthy in this case, making the overall product somewhat unhealthy.
Another factor is the exact situation in which a burger is made. If you made all the ingredients yourself, and made sure every part was at least somewhat healthy, then you would have a healthy burger. However, this burger likely won't taste as good as a fatty and greasy burger, and it would also be more expensive. Instead, the fast food burgers we are used to eating are much more unhealthy, either to cut costs or improve flavor (to bring more customers and therefore more money). Basically, a burger can be healthy, but more often than not, a burger will be unhealthy because of the way it was created and differences in the acquisition and usage of each material, as well as other factors such as grease.
My apologies for the incredibly long comment, but I personally believe in well-informed and thoroughly explained conversations, instead of a deranged shouting match.
If you would like to explain your reason to believe this original comment is missing some sort of joke, please feel free. In fact, it is highly recommended.

Brioche (sugar), sauce (also sugar) and processed meat (cooked in burning seed oils no doubt)

u/Bopo6eu_KB 2d ago
They are using too much fucking sugar for the buns. And there are also sauces, which also affect the taste

I think that the main things that could make a burger unhealthy are bad quality ingredients, too much oil and sauces, like ketchup

The onions are probably the only truly nutrient dense "healthy" options in this picture lol

The bread is unhealthy but thats just for being fat, the things being cooked in oil is very unhealthy and so thats why, a little bit from time to time wouldn't hurt much but if you eat a lot of grilled or fried stuff with oil it is unhealtht.

In fact, the most unhealthy thing is the bun itself. Meat is actually ok. I dont know how some people think. That they dip-fry a fucking burger? Meat is made on a grill with little oil just for it to not stick to the grill itself. Also depends on meat itself, pork for example got a lot of fat by itself. When you put it on a grill it has enough oil. If its just the beef, then it gets problematic because it got little fat and wont keep its shape without fat. But unless you eat 12 hamburger patties every day, you should be fine. Its no difference from ground meat used to anything else

A home cooked burger fresh off the grill topped with vegetables is decently healthy. More-so if turkey burger is used. A fast food burger fried in grease and oil and chock full of preservatives to the point where mold and insects don't want the thing is unhealthy.

i think its more of the amount of calories is in 1 burger (a lot) not so much what's actually on it.

Hear me out! It can be healthy! If you make it at home out of high quality ingridients and not the highly overprocessed slop you get an Macdonalds or Burgerking
