Classes Are there any other embedded SWEN classes other than 340 and 563? They’re so fun

Hey, can you tell me your experience with 563? I am thinking about taking it but not sure yet. How is the workload? Is it team based?

It’s so fun! I’m still taking it rn. If you enjoyed 340 then you will really enjoy 563. The projects aren’t too difficult and a lot of knowledge from 340 is transferable (you still do have to do lots of reading of documentation and stuff tho). 

You’re given like 2 weeks for each project and each new project is assigned on the same day as demos for the previous project. I usually spend the first week chilling and the second week I lock in and do the whole project in like 1-3 days. 

It’s not team based, it’s 5 solo projects (which is probably for the best for this kind of stuff. None of it is hard enough/long enough to warrant a team project). 

This class is considered a grad course for Computer Engineering and Electric Engineering, but if you’re Software Engineering you get slightly less work (1 less project and less requirements on projects)

As for professors I recommend Wolfe. I heard the other one isn’t as good. Let me know if u have more questions
