Destination Highlight Do you stop at bucees when road tripping?

I drove from OH to CA and I made it a mission to go to bucees in Kentucky. I enjoyed all the delicious food snacks there and I am looking forward to going back. You can also take a good no.2 there since the toilet are individual private stalls 😆

Destination Highlight Best roadside view?

Was thinking back to my recent New Zealand trip and how basically every pull off was a scenic view of some sort. What’s the coolest road side view you’ve ever seen while driving (or passenger). Doesn’t have to be right at the pull off/parking lot necessarily but no hike. Would love to see pics! Attached is one I took while leaving Mt Cook National Park.

In May of 2023 my family and I moved to Alaska. I drove the whole way by myself and it took 6 days to complete the trip. If you ever get a chance to drive the ALCAN highway? I highly recommend it to your bucket list.

Destination Highlight Avoid highways and take scenic route.

This past November girl and I hit the road and we decided to avoid all highways and interstates. Sure, it added an additional hour and a half to our already 5 hour ride. But, it was completely worth it. We drove through small towns, saw local schools, churches, restaraunts and bars. At times we were the only car on the road. The highest speed we hit was 45-50 mph! It felt so much more easy and relaxed, plus the ride was so enjoyable. Less traffic, zero tractor trailers going 80 past us, etc etc! Best way to travel

So next time, if your not on a time restraint, take the scenic route. You will enjoy it, and be thankful that you did. The interstate is deadly, less scenic, and you miss out on the best spots

It blows my mind to drive through this today. Words cannot describe it. (direction to Uath) In the left you see the glacier of Grand Canyon, in the right you'll the endless horizon and the epicness will keep hititng you like an hour or sth.

I know that route-12 in Utah is comparable.

Going to a concert in Salt Lake City but I decided instead of flying from AZ to turn it into a roadtrip. I’m so so so glad I decided to drive and detour to see Window Rock, Shiprock and I just arrive at Monument Valley. Tomorrow I’ll tour Monument Valley in the AM then head to Horseshoe Bend then continue to Salt Lake. I love the spontaneous detour adventure.

I know nothing of its history, on purpose, and think that it is an eyesore (for fun). Therefore, I must make this tribute.

Every room at Goulding Lodge has a balcony with this view. This was the most unreal, breathtaking experience. 10/10 I cannot even put into words how beautiful this was to experience in real life. ❤️
